I bet nobody expected me to post in this again, but here it is - I just wanted to announce that the entire Super Mario Countdown series art has undergone a major renovation. Some pieces were made over 5 years ago and were in dire need of refresher.

Look at that new logo! It's almost real!

Everything should now be cleaner, more modern and professional-looking. Each level's title banner was also remade, you can ckeck them out in their respective portal thread. My personal favorites are Dragon Valley's and Candy Coaster's. Finally, I have revamped and rewritten the first two posts of this very thread. That includes the post for the original series and the bonus levels. Make sure to give them a look, you might read something interesting ;)

The map was also given a new look, you can check it out here:
Spoiler: show

And while you are out there checking out the new art, why don't you use this opportunity to play or replay some of the levels?

Oh and by the way new level coming tomorrow, if you care about that detail.

Double post, but considering that this is my biggest SM63 release since Leaves from the Vine, two and a half years ago, and it's been almost three years since FLOODED PAST, it's probably worth it. Here goes!

I present to you NEON CITY - ACT 2! Dash over Neon Bridge and dive even deeper into the shining metropolis that is Neon City. Loading time for this level might be a little overwhelming for some, considering the amount of decorations in this level (mostly due to the design of the Neon Bridge), however I hope this doesn't stop from enjoying this level! If you like it and are new to the series, make sure to check out Act 1 and the rest of the levels as well!

You can play it here!

This is long overdue, but I need to address the bonus Zones, listed in the second post of this very thread. What are they, and why are they not part of the original series? The answer is quite simple: These bonus levels are one-Act-long Zones that differ in the fact that they are NOT based on real life locations like the originals. Instead, the bonus Zones are based on past famous levels and level series from Runouw history. For instance, the two currently planned Zones are DARK BRIDGE, based on MoD's flagship series, Dark; as well as ILLUSION PARK, based on my very own Dimension Infinity. Other levels I'm strongly considering are Tearing Paper by MP3 (for a zone most likely called PAPER DREAM), and either Tesoro Luminoso or Fort Omniquet by nin. To be determined. Suggestions are welcome!

Don't worry, the SMC comeback is not over yet. Introducing...

GHOST DEPTHS - ACT 1 is now available on the Level Portal! Search for the Shine Sprite in an abandoned mine amid the Andes Mountains. But be careful, these caves are reportedly haunted... This level was a challenge to make, especially when it comes to the parts inside the mine, but I'm really happy with the result. Hopefully you'll be too. Make sure to check out NEON CITY - ACT 2 as well if you haven't yet! You can find the link for that level above.

Play Ghost Depths here!

GHOST DEPTHS uses Jynji's Respawning mod, which respawns you directly at the start level after you die instead of taking you back to the Level Designer, which is extremely handy if the level takes a while to load. However, in order for the mod to load, you might have to follow the instructions in this thread. This mod will most likely be implemented in all future SMC levels, and past levels will probably be edited to include the mod.

That's all for this week, see you next Sunday!

Other people have been here for years, and learning the designer, but I've been here for what, a year?
And my best level isn't even comparable to some of the amazing levels here.
I want to do Magma Oasis so bad

:doramsays: Yes, but once you've been here for as many years, you will be just as good. Patience, young one. Practice, learn, grow. You will get there.

I 'wish' to do Rust Storm.
