I could always add completing a level to my agenda, but I'll have to finish my 25th LDC entry first. I'm 3 and a half levels out of 5 done for it. I plan to be done before the end of the year anyway. :p

This isn't a guarantee btw, but I may have the time to do it. Whether or not I'd get it done before the end of the year though, I don't know.

I'd say "you know what? I'll have a crack at it" but I won't because I wouldn't complete even the first part of a level

A speedrun level is interesting in concept though

You're making me wish that we had a Sonic-esque LDC.

Let's do this for real this time.

It has been hard to find appropriate tilesets and items to make the Candy theme interesting. But I think I came up with something that could end good. I've started it and the little I did already looks better than the whole transition I deleted last time (it didn't please me at all). It won't be better than Dragon Valley, I'm afraid, but it's still going to be an interesting level enough. This is the second time designing a level will be a challenge (first one was the Puzzle level Asphodel Temple) because of the quite unusual theme.

I also updated the first post to include bosses of all 3 first levels, updated banners for levels and the title banner and added info for Candy Coaster and Atlantic Palace. Also Atlantic Palace is now known as Flooded Past, and will take place in the mythical city of Atlantis (or at least its remains). Finally, I removed Wind Greens from the first post because the chances this will be completed are very very very slim (read that as: never).

As for Candy Coaster itself, expect it in one or two weeks: I also have to work on my 26th LDC entry. But it's gonna be cool. I'll also announce the level that comes after Atlantic Palace/Flooded Past/that water level when I post Candy Coaster. Yay

Oh, and I made this:

As you probably guessed it it's a map of all the levels. I have 11 planned levels so far (and will probably stop here, unless someone wants to do a level too which would be awesome) but only 9 appear for reasons. I'll just leave this here to leave you guessing what could come next ;) (the one in Japan is Candy Coaster btw)

This is...an around the world based series?

*faints and cries with happiness*

You are gonna end up making my fave series ever, even if I end up not liking the levels, I'll still love it because it's around the wooooorld. :3

Nothing in Europe?

Touché.

I've tried a few designs for some European-themed levels (Ireland, England, Germany, Greece) but everytime it would end bad (because of unfitting tilesets), or a copy of Arctic Ruins without the snow. Only Greece looked fine but it's a complete rip-off of that level from Sonic Unleashed. This series already has a lot in common with it so I don't want to make this feel like a remake of Unleashed.

And finally I'm not really interested by Europe, because I prefer making levels that are "exotic" for me instead of levels depicting places I see everyday (that's probably why a Greek level sounded nicer to me: I've never been there). See what I mean?

Of course I'm open for suggestions: I've already picked a few from the topic (thanks btw).

I'd suggest places famous for the countrysides, like Scotland or even Iceland. Maybe not so much ruins and ♥♥♥♥.

Scotland would be awesome. :3 Fur tree forests and rolling hills with waterfalls and everything, with the odd snow-capped mountain.

...in other words, your choice, haha.

SK.

I AM SO DISAPPOINT.

YOU MADE NO LEVEL REPRESENTING FRANCE.

I see many tilesets in the SM63 level designer that would represent the city of lights quite well, no? I know this may seem like Neon City all over again, but it could be with a more pleasurable theme that represents lots of art, lights, street, restaurants, etc.
