Okay, I get that if I make a level, it extends the series, not replaces a level of yours.

Idea change: A mountain/rock/canyon/base/whatever level based upon Sonic Heroes' Rail Canyon. Being named ROCKY CANYONS, I'd say. :)

Sounds awesome :3

(fun fact I had an idea for a level like that but it didn't make it in)

Anyway, I'll PM you a few tips as soon as I get home

Updatessssss

TOPIC UPDATES:
  • Added back HANGING CITADEL (by Yurimaster) to the first post.
  • Added back VILLE LUMIÈRE to the first post and changed its author from Harmless to ~MP3 Amplifier~
  • Added ROCKY CANYONS (by Supershroom) to the first post (I'm starting to run out of colors guys)
  • Added locations of levels to the first page
  • Remade the world map!
    • Now features Antarctica
    • Moved a few things around to make room for the 4 new levels (currently only 3 because I don't have the location of Supershroom's level) and for the final yet-to-be-revealed levels
    • Added preview for FLOODED PAST.
    • Changed icon of Neon City from blue to grey to fit banners on the first page
    • Here it is:

I want to add the map to the first page but I don't know where. #starkingproblems

LEVEL UPDATE (on FLOODED PAST): I'm halfway through exactly. Transitions take more time than planned because there is a lot of indoor platforming and tile patterns take a while every time. I probably won't be done for this week-end, but I'll try to get it by Wednesday. Maximum will be next week-end.

The more I think about it, the more I realise that this is actually kind of a replacement of Super Mario Legacy except more successful. 'Tis a nice thought. :>

If too many humans get involved, it'll never be finished. Super Mario Lazy sounds more like it.

Nevertheless, I'm rather excited to see the end result. *refrains self from using a pun that involves countdowns*

Hmm, for Magna Oasis I feel like you could get a sort of Oceania feel for it. Course I'm thinking of Survivor locations and my mind goes to places like Vanuatu which is famous for its still active volcanoes, although factories aren't really a thing there, but I feel one could be sort of invented Donkey Kong Country 2 style.

I'd think about doing it if I have the motivation, but if someone feels they can do it better don't wait on me.

I guess I have a location for ROCKY CANYONS. Somewhere in New South Wales, in the Blue Mountains. (therefore it won't be just canyons but also a few grass and a river).

Already made a rough layout. Trying to get started asap :awe:

ShroomEdit: Aww, it will have to be a desert background, there's no other suitable background. So it will be more a canyon/desert-themed level, being located rather in West Australia than at the coast. Sorreh

And with that, we have the location of the 13 of the 15 zones of Super Mario Countdown! Fifteen! Holy crap!

Updated map:

As you can see I moved a few things around again: One zone had to get its location changed because I decided to have a different Act 1 than what I planned originally.

StarEDIT: 100th post woo

StarEDIT2: That's actually what I had in mind, MoD. Magma Oasis will take place on an island with an active volcano.
