Hai thar. If i find the time tomorrow i'll try to give out one of my old style reviews. :awe: (well, not in the old style obviously cos that kinda sucked, but in the LDC style :D )

Review for "The Pipe Dream":

Fun -- 7/10. I enjoyed that actually, the only thing I thought was a bit risky was the triangle pipe pattern thingy. I found it a bit confusing to get around, and was sure I missed out some sections. It felt a bit annoying. But except that, I found it really enjoyable. As you can see the score is still pretty high.

Graphics -- 2/5. There was no cut-off, and the warp pipes were placed neatly. But I didn't like how the tiling was too repetitive. For example, the same brick and colour used throughout? To make it much more dreamy, you could add much more tile variation, and to aim for the highest score on graphics I'd suggest using decoration too. I know it's difficult to use decoration when using the brick tiles but when I find myself in similar situations I use cave plants, IMO they suit best. Play my level Rainbow Nightmare to see what I mean. (unless you already have of course :P)

Other -- 3.5/5.

-0.5 -- A fair bit of lagging in places, but thankfully not too serious. But still got down to below 4 fps at times.
+0.25 -- Though the quiz idea is fairly tedious and popular, I think you used it pretty well and allowed to fit in with the storyline, which I liked.
+0.75 -- Hiding the red coins like that (trust me, I did not even notice them to start with) really spiced up the challenges a lot. I liked that, and the warp pipes being unpredictable was a pretty nice touch too, very fitting with the theme of the level.

Overall -- 12.5/20.

Hope this helps you to improve in the future.. ;) (and for the record, I've had much lower scores than that in the past so you did pretty well)

Here's my review of Casualties of War.

Part 1 (Intro)

Well... If I'm allowed to make only 1 complaint, It was kind of short. The red co- sorry, Power Switch section was the part that took the longest, but it was over in about 2 minutes. But the funniest part?
The last sign in part one wrote:ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED!

Wrong way, smart guy.

The Penguin Stomper was interesting. It felt like I was trying to get to that sign forever! :)
Actually, before I realized I had to go behind the Com. Penguin, I thought that was the way to go. PS. I couldn't get the backflip to work.
The idea of using red coins to mark the way to go? I liked that idea.
One last thing. Your sling star is a little too strong. I never got to read the sign. You know, the one in the second chopper? I went flying right into the hole.
I didn't notice any cutoff, but I wasn't really looking at the time. I also liked the "Afro penguin". Seriously, that was hilarious!

The decor was nice too, but the severed head was REALLY weird looking.

Overall, nice part!


Part 2 (Level)

I'm always happy If a level has checkpoints. And this is no exception. When I read the sign, I thought: "Great! Now I don't have to go through the enemy spam on the airship!"
The soldiers wanting the war to end was also a nice touch.
And the 12 red coins? That was good too. I've seen a lot of levels where everyone thinks you can only have 8 red coins. Or 5 silver stars. Or 1 shine sprite.
By the way, I had to move the start point because of a glitch. In the ice area, Mario walked under a ledge you were supposed to slide under. Result? Death.
When the Airship was on fire, It was interesting and annoying how the platforms still went down.
The dozens of bullet bills almost killed me, and that was really annoying.
And since when to medics order pizza at work? :lol: Good to know you haven't lost your sense of humor.
Again, very little cutoff, and good decor.

Overall, another good level!

Part 3 (Ending)

It was really upsetting that Luigi died, but like in real life, we must move on.
No cutoff at all on this joke level.

Overall, How can I rate something like this?

Yeah, I really liked this! Another good level/series from Harmless!

What are you talking about?! Your levels are awesome! I wish there was more of them.

Flaming fortress Galaxy sounds like it would be really cool. Galaxy levels are like that. I didn't even see that and was planning "Lunar Fortress Galaxy".
