I'm sorry blab, but with so little interest it doesn't make sense for me to even make the effort. If I see some more stories posted soon, I may reconsider, but as of now I think I'm gonna sit this one out.

......ಠ_ಠ Did my high amount of inturest (high enough to finish my story the day before the original deadline) not mean anything to any of yuse?

And Moy, you don't have enough time to do this, but you have enough time to make another story?

>_> Notice how that b**** goes straight to me and not Mic

That new story was why I am busy.

Plus with Mario, I can't draw inspiration.

This had started way before your new story. And MIC hasn't done any new stories recently, so it could be because he was busy (coughhisfinalexamscough)

And with Mario, you don't really need inspiration. You just need to know who the guy is.

Because you wanted one.

Mario: Before the Game (prologue)

Mario awoke in his wooden bed with the fresh greeting of seagulls and ocean waves. He let out a big long yawn, and jumped off his bed.

“Yahoo! Luigi, are you awake? Chief Boomga told us to meet him in the morning!” he echoed through the room. Luigi’s bed was usually on the other side of the room, but for some reason, it was replaced by all their junk by the morning. “Luigi?” Mario searched the room for his brother, when a note attached to the window caught his attention. It read,

          “Dear Mario,

I’ve decided to leave this island. After 20 years of surviving through raw vegetables, scarce meat, and poorly
made bungalows, I think we’re good enough to make it big! I’ve left before sunrise, so we wouldn’t argue. I’ll
be searching for other islands, looking for some advanced civilization. This island is just too… bland. Anyway,
I’m sorry I couldn’t bring you with me, but, knowing you, I think you would rather stay here with the rest of the
tribe.
~ Your bro,
Luigi
P.S. Don’t forget to feed the pet bully!

“Hmm…” Mario said. “His loss!” Mario said with a slight smile. He took a rope device to enter the kitchen, and fed his bully some fried cheep-cheeps from the pantry. Then, he started to bite into a pie that was left on the table, most likely by Luigi, when he saw a small shimmer from under the crust.

Inside, there was a magnificent shard of stone. It glowed like a firefly suited with silver armor, and it was in the shape of a star. He picked it up, and he heard a chime as he touched the jewel-like rock. He came outside to greet Chief Boomga, the chief of the tribe on the island beach.

The island was beautiful, indeed. Yet, its inhabitants hadn’t given their home a name. They only gave names to the landmarks on it. Speaking of its inhabitants, some of the creatures lived peacefully with Mario and his brother, the only two humans on the island.

When Mario reached the Chief, the chief had begun, and was way ahead of Mario. “Ahhh, Mario,” he said with a raspy voice. “Did you see the storm right before dawn? It was amazing… small glitters of light appeared, and they showered our village with blinking stones… And I see that you’ve collected one!”

Boomga pointed to the shimmering rock in his right pocket. “I hear that when you collect 5, a jewel appears. One that shines as if it had the power of the Sun. I’ve seen some pieces fall in the tree house, and one in the beach. I even saw some whole jewels fall down by the Ginto Plains! They’re all over the island! Who knows? Maybe the fell on other islands, too.” He continued. “Oh! I also have one here, for you.” The chief pulled a glowing stone from under the table he sat at, and handed it to Mario.

~ ~ ~

After Mario collected five, he walked past the village he lived in. As he did, he saw a yellow light appear near where Chief Boomga had been sitting. He was right! A jewel appeared, with the brightness of the Sun. He held it in the palms of his hands, and felt a rush of power surge within him. These things must be good for you, he thought. But his enjoyment turned into curiosity, as something appeared over the mountain of the island.

All of a sudden, a piece of land, about five times the size of the village, appeared over the horizon, and floated eerily over the island. It was shining with lights a thousand times brighter than the jewel Mario had just grabbed.

A crowd appeared, all of the people gazing at the mysterious floating island. In the crowd, was some of Mario’s closest friends; Kuda, a friendly Koopa Troopa who made a hat out of a dead seagull he found on the beach. His dream was to be able to fly heights higher than the moon. Then, there were the Guinness’s. They were siblings about half the age of Mario. The two, Pengi and Penga were always side by side, saying the most ridiculously random stuff. Their catch-phrases and sayings would be famous one day, probably. They were bumpities. Finally, there was Mistress Boomga, the Chief’s wife. She always had a welcoming heart, and a creative mind.

They all asked a variety of questions. “How can an island float? Where did it come from? How is it so bright? What’s going on?” And all of them had the different answers. “I’m not sure! Maybe it fell from the beyond, with the stones! Islands CAN’T float! Or… they’re not supposed to!” The one thing they did have in common is what they saw. They saw large bulging eyes from a large fortress atop the island. Paws extended from over the pillars of the fortress. The whole village heard the same thing; a roar, followed by a raspy maniacal laugh.

Mario noticed something the others didn’t, though. He squinted, and saw a girl. She was wearing a pink dress, and had a worried look on her face. She stood at the edge of the island, with a parasol on her back, and a crown on her head. The others didn’t notice her, but Mario could find her easily, as if they were meant notice each other.

Mario knew what was going on before the whole village did. Someone captured that princess… or… queen… or whatever she was, and someone wanted power. Mario thought back to the jewel he collected earlier. It gave him a lot of energy. Who knows what havoc a person could wreak with one-thousand?

While the others were gazing at the floating structure, Kuda turned to the side, because he heard footsteps, like someone was sprinting. He saw Mario, running off to the Ginto Plains, where Chief Boomga had told him some jewels were.

Mario’s heart was rushing. With a stern look on his face, he was thinking the same thing over and over again. “I’ll save her,” he thought. “Even if it’ll cost me my life.” He began to run even faster. “Even if it’ll cost the village.”

To be continued . . .

I may turn this into a story. Hopefully, it won't crash and burn like my last TUSTW entry. x_x
EDIT1: two small grammatical changes.

Actually, it was more massive projects than final exams but yeah. And technically, I was doing work on The Cycle for a bit (unfortunately that got stalled due to massive projects…will get back around to that eventually).

Your interest means something to me, but up until yesterday you were the only one. Now mode has posted one too…if we get one more story I may consider doing one.
