1st Story Writing Contest!
Posted: October 8th, 2011, 10:29 amHello, everyone, and welcome to the first writing contest! It's good to get this started! This is MoD right now, but since SMIC is running this with me I may end up changing the poster to him so he can edit it too!
So first we should start off with the theme! This theme will be simple yet challenging!

(this title is a way of me begging for someone to make a custom title.

So do a forum story! But it must be a short story and revolve mostly around one forum member! But there's a catch!
You cannot write about yourself.
That's right. Write a forum story about a member of Runouw.com that is not you. You cannot star in your own story! Why? Well... name the last forum story that does not star the person who's writing it!
...besides mine!
Yep. Hard one isn't it?
RULES
(pay attention to these!)
L1) The story can be at most 4 chapters or 10,000 words.
L2) It's a forum story! It can either take place on the forum or be an ALTERNATE UNIVERSE fic, which means that it takes place in a totally different universe that still has the forum members in it!
L3) Give us an idea of the rating of the story before we read, (i.e. Kids, Older Kids, Teens). Don't write anything too explicit!
L4) Story must be posted as its own topic, NOT HERE! There won't be a vault this time! You will be posting your stories in independent topics!
L5) In the subtitle of your story, you must put "For the 1st SWC!" in some variation or form!
L6) The genre is up to you to decide!
Now, there's one last big rule you all need to know.
There can be no more than one story about a forum member!
THIS IS IMPORTANT. No two people can write about the same forum member. So here's another big rule.
Claiming a member!
If there's a member you want to write about, you must claim it as soon as possible! Post here in order to claim it and I'll put it in the list below me! But be warned, once you claim a forum member, you cannot change forum members!

Why almost identical to an LDC!
10 points- Enjoyment! How much was the story enjoyable? Did it get our interest? Make us laugh or cry? Follow its genre? No plot continuity errors? Would we read it again?
5 points- Grammar! Was it written with good grammar? Obviously if you're here you should know what the hell grammar is by now!
5 points- Other Stuff! Just like with the LDC! Any particular points that needed mentioning! Favorite lines or big mistakes!
