The Lost Symbol - Dan Brown [?'s]

First off, should I read "The Davinci Code" before I continue reading "The Lost Symbol"?
Are they related or are they different?

I'm already at chapter 26, and Langdon, Anderson and Sato are gonna go into SBB13[Which I think is gonna be a HUGE part in the story maybe].
This book is, like, the BEST book ever.
The only reason being is because of the plot and how things are tying in.
I don't like stories about W.D.C., but this book destroyed that dislike.

Anyone else got this book?[If so just tell me your opinion of it, don't reveal anything after chapter 26].
Has anyone read The Davinci Code?[If so tell me the plot].
