~~ Finally! Peace, at last!! ~~

"The papers have given the most important and well-remembered headline to come on this very day." Leader Harmless spoke to the public on a frosty afternoon, with cameras and microphones budging each other for their personal best take on the Talroakian Leader. "On this very day, the war is over! Let the passing era be a reminder to all of Talroakian-kind: Remain vigilant, for the good of EVERYONE!"

The public has erupted in a mass cry of cheers, varying from relieved to excited tones! Leader Harmless gives a bow alongside a few steps backwards, as to not bang his head on any microphones. Guards shuffle in quickly to bodyblock excited journalists and newspaper editors from trampling the Leader...

Leader Harmless enters his private room in the Talroakian Governmental building, and sits down, before noticing the TV monitor still running.

"Well... don't wanna waste electricity now, I guess."

He was just about to shut it off, until...

"... Leader Harmless, everybody! THIS is the man that we need for our future of the Talroakian Nation!! THREE CHEERS FOR LEADER HARMLESS!!"

"HARMLESS!"

"HARMLESS!"

"HARMLES-"

Leader Harmless switches the TV off, flattered. Rolling in a fancy office chair over to his desk, he notices a small envelope...

Archimillion vs. Mechani Results

Archimillion has been tried on date [REDACTED] for the following crimes during the Second Mechani-Human War, including but not limited to:

• Attempted Attack on unarmed civillians
• Attempted obliteration of civillian capital
• Attempted destruction of territory
• Theft of neutral 3rd party equipment and technology

Archimillion has been found guilty for all four points and has been sentenced to death. After all data that he knows is expunged, he is to be snuffed by the currently least demanding death known to this time so his organs can be scavenged to help create cures and transplants. During this time between his incarceration and his actual death he is not to be visited by anyone.

"I see... I wouldn't have it any other way."

Leader Harmless rolls over to his bed, and lays down on it, exhausted.

"I wonder... how is everyone else doing...?"

(Here comes the fun part! The journey is now over, but your ending is completely and I mean completely up to you! Go on, enlighten me on what happens to your character for the future.)

[It Doesn't Matter]

Since the war's end, Asriel has all but officially retired. After all, that little bout in the Pentagon... well, let's just say he got well paid for that effort, along with everything else he'd worked up to. No point working after getting that much money, right? The boy was practically set for the rest of his life if he played his cards right.

Even with all this money in hand, though, Asriel knew where he was going to be - back home, with the family he'd been away from for so long. Welcomed back with open arms, Asriel had tales upon tales to tell to anyone who would listen. And although he never did get the recognition he thought he would from being the hero, in the end he found himself content without it. The people close to him knew what he had done, and really, Asriel learned that he didn't need any more than that.

The ever self-proclaimed hero made sure to keep in touch with all of his allies, of course - from his own squad, to Squad #221 and hell, he even managed to slide his way into the messages of Leader Harmless himself. Without a doubt, he'd made friends for life. There was sorrow along the way, of course, but in the end Asriel came out bright as ever, as he always said to himself he would do.



...What is he doing now, though?

"Aw, yeah! This is happenin'!" His voice calls, as he runs through the field he'd spent so much time in as a child. Covered by snow as it was, it was the sort of environment Asriel had always loved. Eventually, he stumbled upon a ledge, with a single tree on it. This was always were he spent the most time - sitting under the tree, enjoying the peace. He was older now, though, so what better to do than stand under it instead? And stand under it he did, placing a hand on his white hair - white as the snow around him - as his gray scarf blew behind him in the wind.

"And they said I couldn't be a hero. Hahaha!"

Asriel's laughs are carried along the wind.

[The Lives We Got Back]

(Here's where I ruin everything)
With the war over, dex heads over to the local tavern and has a beer or two to celebrate his victory. He contemplates what he's going to do next for a while. He could go back to being a gun-fore-hire, or he settle down and get a real job that doesn't involve killing people for fun.
"Decisions, Decis-"
BANG!

Dex takes heavy shield damage! Good thing he was too lazy to take his armour off before arriving, otherwise he'd be dead for sure.
A mysterious man walks into the tavern as the customers panic, racing out the emergency exit.
???: Looks like your job's done here. Time for you to go.
Dex: Who the hell are you and what do you want with me?
Dex gets out his shotgun and fires at ???, launching 3 shells. ??? can't dodge bullets effectively in this reality and takes very heavy torso damage.
???: Hey! You're not supposed to fight back!
??? prepares some kind of blue energy shield to block attacks while simultaneously firing a laser machine gun at Dex. The lasers quickly chew through dex's shield health and gradually damage his armour.
Dex finds cover behind a table. It's made of some kind of steel, so it resists ???'s attacks fairly well. He launches a few grenades, however, they're very inaccurate because he can't see his target. ??? is hit by one grenade and takes medium damage.
???: You're a real pain, you know that?
??? is forced to use his special weapon. He summons a cube that falls out of the sky and through the tavern roof. It quickly transforms itself into some kind of mech with swords for arms. ??? hops in, slices the table in two and stabs Dex in the head for incredibly high damage. Dex was killed!
???: Now THAT is more like it. Lets see what you had on you...

???'s mech returns to its cube form. ??? takes it and teleports away. Nobody ever saw him after that.

[The Man who was Sold by the World]

Despite the glorious victory in the war, Marcus was not able to return to Earth at peace. The peacekeeping forces of the Crossroads were only able to maintain a mere month of peace, before countless militant factions rose up to fill the power vacuum left by a devastated UNAC. Anarchy ruled as the militants purged Talroakians and hunted for humans who fought against humans in the war.

Marcus was among the most wanted of them all. Assassins followed him wherever he went. They finally caught up with him as he took a plane flight from Kinshasa to Manchester. His plane was intercepted by a ballistic missile and crashed into the Sahara Desert. Miraculously, he was able to survive the disaster and fool the world into believing that he was dead.

The crash left his face burnt black and deformed and took his left eye. After a long year of recovery, he took on the identity "Three of Clubs" and founded a revolutionary group called "Full House." The group consisted of humans who were hunted down by the militant factions and wanted to liberate the Earth from chaos. Together, they began to take back the world which sold them.


The pacifist Marcus who fought against Archimillion is now just a part of the shadow that makes up Three of Clubs.

[Harmless]

"... Nah. I'm sure they're doing alright... I have faith in them." Leader Harmless muttered to himself as he slowly began to drift away, snoozing on his bed. His hard work, and most importantly, the work of the soldiers who fought under his command, has given them an incredible outcome.

The very next day, after receiving reports of militants springing up on Earth far quicker than he anticipated, he immediately sent reinforcements backed by a Crossroadian military group to stabilize Earth and protect the human civilians from being caught in the crossfire. News on how the operation went has yet to be reported...

A month after that, a treaty was finally come to terms and a new President was installed for the reformed UNAC. A long time friend of the deceased Atticus Dougan, Leader Harmless shook the new President's hand in public and had truly believed that it was all over.



On that day... Leader Harmless made a grave mistake, one he would only realize when it was too late.



For your work is never finished, no matter who you are, or what you do. For Leader Harmless, his work only got harder from here.

OOC: First, a quick shoutout to all of the players - Thank you so much for playing, and putting up with my ridiculously slow update schedule nonsense! Hosting this was an absolute blast, and while along the way I have resented a few things that I felt like I could have done better, I still personally enjoyed it from start to finish. It was great seeing your guy's take on the adventure and how it contrasts to the last party that partook in this RPG!

good LORD man you practically crafted a masterpiece here

Rules of Nature was my favourite moment because of the mental image you crafted, even after I predicted that was the sort of thing that was going to happen - takes a lot to impress me with things I already see coming, but you blew me out of the water. You pulled off a lot of surprisingly tense moments as well where I genuinely couldn't figure out what to do and was worried I ♥♥♥♥ it up, but it all went well in the end.

A big strong point of this RPG is the extremely-dynamic combat sequences. It opens a lot of possibilities for interesting strategic maneuvers. A dreadful moment would be fighting against Archimillion on the Moon base. It was quite possibly the hardest point in the whole RPG, and I genuinely felt like I could screw up anytime.

I really like how you handled progression, by the way.

In the future, you should probably provide more loots. If I recall correctly, the only loot we've received throughout the RPG is a Mjolnir Rifle. While it's definitely one heck of a good weapon, it may be a bit unfair for the others.
