Pokemon RPG (Sign Up)

Yeah, it's best to start simple and then get more complex if you need it to be. I've had experience with running an RPG before, but it's pretty much dead since nobody plays it. Maybe I'll have better luck with this one. Would you mind if I trimmed it down some? Like, take out some things so it's not overly complex?

Maybe all the players could help make this a bit easier... I dunno, maybe we could do our rolls ourselves, stuff like that... (being fair, of course)

Perhaps. The best thing would probably be keeping up with each other's stats and stories. The rest I could probably handle by myself, if Bomberman lets me take charge.

If it's going self-controlled, then I'm stepping out, since I don't want to chance going through what the other RPG did.

It would probably be easier on everyone (myself included) if we started over our current stories. Like, keep all our experience, Pokemon, items, etc., but start a completely new story.

Regarding it being self-controlled, it wouldn't be completely. I'll be handling most things (battles, for example, I love doing those), I just might need a little help with keeping track of everyone's stats and stories.

But yeah, if the mods are okay with it, I'd like to post my own topic so I can organize the information how I'd like it to be. That is, if you guys are willing to switch over.

And Bomberman, if you had any particular things you were hoping to do in the future (for example, the tournament mentioned in the poll), could you let me know?

What I did to keep track of things was write everything down. However, Zunar, my biggest mistake was that I didn't plan everything down.

I mean, I planned a bit... But that's it. If someone did something I hadn't planned, i'd have to plan new pokemon and encounters.

I suggest it being best to plan everything out first. I messed up with the story system, they were supposed to be shorter like the anime episodes. So you should make it go like that, using stories that are like the anime episodes. But really, before doing anything else, plan out what the people are going to do. (After you know who's going to join of course. Oh and I recommend making 1 week of people signing up. Then after that week ends, no more people signing up. Since you'd have to come up with a new story on the spot.)
Btw, I think the CYOA combined with free roaming I did was pretty good. It limited players but made them be free as well. You should do it that way. You may change it, though.

Yeah, that'd be the best solution, probably. Everyone's story would start (and hopefully end) at the same time, so I might be able to plan some things.

Coincidentally, Kanto is probably the region I'm most familiar with (next to Johto and Sinnoh), so it hopefully won't be too bad.

But would this all be worth it? Which of you guys would be willing to start over?
