THE FORUM GAME RULES - FOLLOW OR DIE
1. Please make the Forum Games have a sense! No dumb "Post 100 times", stuff like "The Vending Machine" is also posting and posting and is way better, no?
2. No dupes. Please do not create a bunch of RPGs. If you have an idea, ask a Staff member if it is unique enough.
3. Bumping is allowed, as long you follow the rules of the forum game.

Description: He's 18 years old, pretty tall, wears brown clothes, and likes to wear hats. That's about it.
Backstory: Dennis was a gambler and also a jerk, so his parents threw him out of their home. Now he's not a gambler, but he's still a jerk, so he's still out on the streets, trying to get money so he can live. That's also about it.

I don't like backstories.

...wait, we actually went with Dennis Easton.

EDIT: acully will give data on Megaboy X

Appearance: In a similar fashion to the original Megaboy, he wears the purple shirt; (now long-sleeved) blue jeans and white shoes. His hair is also still brown. (in the same way as Megaman 2's title) When the time rises, however, he will don his purple Jet Armor (think of it as the jet adapter from MM6, but purple and still without helmet. The jetpack is blue as well)

Backstory: From far into the future, when Reploid technology was perfected to match the original X, the leading scientist of robotics, an ancestor of Thomas Light, Alex Light, created the model Megaboy X, in tribute to the replacement for Megaman upon his calls to save the world. Now, in 22XX, he is sent back to the past to see what is happening there. Little does he know what he'll get into...

Okay guys here's some info about the game discussed by me and Nan!

First, there's going to be a world map and the levels (areas) are chosen in the map like SMW.
Nan may also link to some music for background touches.

And here's something important:
Nan explained to me what he means by narrating so here's an example..

Instead of saying ''I'' you say your character name. Basically doing it in third person like ''Allen walked up to the ice cream vending machine, took out a dollar, and buyed Sea Salt Ice Cream.''
Third person. This way, it looks kinda like a story from a book.
Nan will try to explain locations in detail. He'll also color in certain words:
Blue Words stand for people
Red Words stand for interactive objects and things
Green Words stand for locations
(Or opposite for blue and green... I'm not sure)

So yeah

Yeah.

About the map, however, you don't "pick levels". It will mostly be there for reference, and to show you ways to get to place Y from place X. It will just look like SMW, not work like it.

Also, I'd like to add to the narration thing when it comes to battles... you can just say your action, but it would be cool if you narrated that as well. For example, instead of saying "I use Punch", you can say "Nan ran up to the enemy and threw a fist in his foe's direction", or whatever. If you think your narration doesn't make too clear what you're doing, you can just add between brackets what's happening.

"THAT'S IT, YOU MONSTER! TAKE THIS! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" he yelled before blasting Nan.
[Megaboy X uses Buster.]


I'll also use the brackets to comment on the technical details of the battle, and clarify the effects of the attacks and whatnot. (For this example, Nan is controlled by the gamemaster)

However, Nan saw that coming and he quickly leaped out of the way.
[Nan's Pretty Lucky badge allowed him to avoid all damage this time.]
"You'll need to do more than that if you want to defeat me!", said Nan. "Here I come!". Nan then rushed towards Megaboy, who couldn't stop him from punching his stomach. Nan then quickly threw a hook to his face, then another, and then threw a roundhouse kick to his side. Megaboy looked a bit hurt.
"You're so weak", said Nan.
[Nan used Combo, managing to get critical thrice, allowing him to strike four times, dealing four damage to Megaboy X. Mega's current HP: 3]


Yeah, poor Mega. :P But yeah, there you have an idea of how it might work.

Edit: Six players so far! This looks like it's gonna be awesome. :D
I'll try to get this show on the road by Monday. I just gotta take some time to... write the plot down... or something.
Also, could someone take the Yell or Intimidate skills? I made those so someone would use them... they do get quite useful later on, with badges and stuff...
