7 HP, 8 SP

- Cut
- Shoot(?)
- Dodge
- Counter Stance

The reason I'm not entirely sure on Shoot is because I never gave Frederick a gun/he never actually got one throughout the RPG. Maybe I'll just need to wait until I steal get one. :P

now before i state my moveset i have a suggestion
make wind deal extra damage when the target is airborne. as it stands, making a target airborne is useless and i feel wind would be the best move to change that

now then

9 HP, 6 SP
-Ki (labelled Buster)
-Dodge (labelled Dash. It makes more sense for a dash to be used as a dodging technique - after all, is that not what you can use it for in the games?)
-Wind (labelled Storm Tornado)
-Throw (labelled Super Arm)

You could also just pick Steal instead of Shoot, y'know. Since, you're a thief and all.

I'll see what to do about that. One of the things I was thinking of was remove the Airborne status, since it can be confused with the Flying status (for floating/flying units), and instead have Knockdown (having the person knocked down on the ground) as a "vulnerable state" status.

I'll update on this stuff in a while.

X1: Upgrade to activate. Dashing makes your basic shots do double damage, even against bosses.
X2: Still makes your basic shots deal double damage to bosses. Upgrade lets you air dash.
X3: Doesn't make shots do double damage to bosses. Upgrade lets you air dash, even upward.
X4: Air Dash isn't upward, but you can hover in place for quite some time. Nova Strike is invincible air dash attack.
X5: Falcon Armor flies, is invincible to almost everything while flying. Does damage while flying. Gaea Armor pushes large blocks when dashing. Nova Strike still invincible air dash attack. Zero's air dash will automatically use the Frost Splasher to deal damage if it doesn't require the Frost Splasher to use int he first place. Been a while since I played X5.
X6: Falcon Armor dun broke. Now just has an air dash that is super short. Air dash does damage. There's even a video of somebody beating the opening boss with just the Falcon Armor's air dash. Nova Strike is still Invincible air dash attack. Mach Dash does damage, if I recall. Even if not, the Ice Burst does give it an attack. Shadow Armor gives you a sweet jump, but actually doesn't feature the air dash. I believe this is the first time Zero can just air dash and/or double jump without upgrade. Don't remember him having a dash attack in this one.
X7: Can't say too much about this. Although, I do know Axl's dodge roll can be upgraded into an attack... somehow. X (anybody, actually) no longer needs an upgrade to air dash.
X8: Hermes boots makes X run faster and when dashing, invisible, which, similar to Axl's dodge roll, makes X invincible to projectiles. Icarus boots makes X jump higher. Oddly enough, Icarus helmet enables a jump attack that does damage, but only while ascending. Not quite dash but similar principle. Ultimate boots has the effect of both boots. Nova Strike is still invincible air dash. Dang thing can almost one-shot bosses now.

The dash is definitely used for mobility, dodging and making speedruns about half as long, but it does also have offensive functionality. Just saying :P

CHAPTER 2WO
Yes, it's finally here, and now with Xero being an idiot instead of Nan.

So let's just get this out of the way and cosmic retcon any NPCs at, like, Terico was it? Yeah, after Kohaku proposed to be Burt's dad they started a family or something. I dunno, Nan can figure that out when he gets back 'cause I don't really care. He didn't give me character sheets for anybody but the actual players so I guess they're not here. :U

I'm here to GM the "fun" stuff so let's just get right on with it!

[Because cutscenes!] ♪♫

As the sun sets, a lone figure quickly ascends up a mountain, advancing far with each leap. At a plateau, the figure stops, and starts talking to the shadows near a rock wall.

“Confirmed. The old man’s dead. Meh. Doesn’t really surprise me. I can’t believe they actually thought that lunatic would be good as a soldier. Especially of our unit.”

A whisper could be felt.

“Do you think I care about that? He was just a idiot, nothing more. Not like us.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll take care of those fools. We already got other units working on other locations, we don’t really need any assistance for this, and I certainly don’t need yours.”

“Yeah, sure, stay vigilant, whatever. I know what they can do, don’t worry. No need to lecture me on it, mom.”

The figure jumped off the plateau and started working its way down the mountain.

In the shadows, something seemed to be moving…

[Meanwhile, In Canada near Protag-Villa!] ♫♪

It's about 5:30 in the evening. The sun is setting, probably. Maybe it's dark out. When does this RPG take place? Regardless, it is a little bit foggy for no reason in particular, so visibility is somewhat reduced around here.

You finally arrive at the entrance to Mizu Village. This place is surrounded by a big wall for some reason. Before said wall is a bunch of fenced-in farmland. At the entrance between the fences you run into the strangest thing. It's a map of the town, but nothing is labeled. There aren't even numbers or letter with a legend to explain what they are. Actually there are letters and some numbers, because the entire map was drawn in freaking ASCII ART. Not sure if moron or misunderstood genius, but there is a big warning that nothing is to scale.

Well, I guess that gives you some idea of what this place is supposed to look like. In front of you are some houses, some fence, and off to the sides are some barns and whatever passes for farm-looking buildings. You can't quite make them out, but there seem to be people in front of the main walls.

[Blame Nan for my character name, he suggested the last name. I think just sticking with Zunar would be better honestly, I mean we have Mega and Wind already, sooo]

Zunar examines the map for a few moments. "I think that weird thing on the bottom says 'You are here', so that should be a good place to start."

(Last I recall Burt, Kohaku, and Hannah went with Derren to go look for forest stuff.)

Frederick takes one look at the map.

"Huh. Oh. Ah. Ahh! Hmm."

Frederick smiles. "Careful boys. This could be a trap! I mean, just listen to this unsettling background music! ... Y'know, this music is actually too unsettling. You there, Harmless! Give us something better to work with, pronto!"

Suddenly, the music changes.

Frederick keeps smiling. "Much better! Hehe! Alright, your fearless leader Frederick is ready to take charge! First, we'll start with... uh... whatever those fancy letters on the wall mean! They kinda look like houses. Those will be very important later, especially after we talk to these folks standing in front of us!"

Frederick jauntily walks up to the folks standing in front of the group. "Hii!" Frederick waves.
