Into The Shadows PvP Arena (And More)
THE INTO THE SHADOWS PvP ARENA!!!!
(And more. Maybe.)
Now that the Prologue has ended, Nan told Bomberman101 to open the PvP Arena to let you guys do something during the 2 week period that we do nothing. But then Bomberman quit hosting. So yeah, now it is run by yours truly, Harmless.
If you haven't participated in Into the Shadows or haven't checked it out yet, go check it out now. It's a great (and lengthy) read!
This shall be quite simple, following the same rules as the original game. (If you don't know them, check Nan's Into The Shadows topic.)
To begin a fight, two or more players from the game may choose to fight one another. After they got that settled, they may choose one of three modes to play in:
VICTORY
The main mode of the arena. Pretty much, you just fight here. The winner, or winners, earn a Victory Point. Victor Points were originally used for determining who earns special badges and prizes before Nan made Chapter 1ne, but since Chatper 1ne has already passed instead I will host a tournament later in time. There are two ways to fight here, Teams or Free-For-All.
Teams is basically two or more teams fighting against each other.
Free-For-All is two or more people fighting against each other individually.
After you pick teams (if any), you choose a stadium! This can be anywhere, a generic stadium, a sinking ship, outer space, anywhere. Keep in mind that you may still use Improvise. So battles can truly end up being epic.
There is no time limit to this mode. The last man or team standing wins.
GAMBLER
The second mode is for people who like to take risks. The only mode here is Free-For-All. Everyone joining in the fight will bet any number of Runes and they will all be ''piled up''. The winner of the fight wins all the Runes everyone bet.
Like Victory mode, after you gamble and such you pick an arena to fight in.
The battle then begins, and ends after ten turns. The winner is either the last person standing or the person with the most HP % left. Runes gambled will affect in-game currency for all players.
TEAM BATTLE
Pair up with a character of your choice and take it to the enemy team! Works the same as Victory, except you need to knock out both members of a team to win!
A few extra rules to keep in mind for all modes:
- You may pick any level that any character has reached to in the main RPG, and you may even add temporary stats and/or badges to help you adjust to the level. Likewise, if you're leveling down you may subtract bonuses temporarily for that fight.
- Every battle begins with everyone at full HP and SP.
- You may not use Items in order to keep things fair (except for Kohaku, but he is limited in plants).
- No experience is awarded, however you may keep Victory Points and Runes earned after battle.
- You may choose any badge discovered in the game so far, even if you don't have it. However they can't pass your BP maximum and you cannot equip two of the same badges.
I'll be GMing this and stuff, have fun everyone and:
May the odds be ever in your favor.
(Dice rolls and stuff, what? No... I didn't copy this from anything... This is purely original, yep.)
A few exceptional rules and stuff:
- Steal produces a random item if successful, in which it will be used the instant he steals it. The items to be stolen are: Red Berry (20%), Cheese Sandwich (30%), Crit-a-Cola (15%), Green Tea (15%). The list may grow/change depending on what level Frederick is at when he fights. Some enemies may have lower chances to produce an item.
- Remember that Buffs/Debuffs don't stack, unless if it's a status condition (poison, bleeding, etc.).
- Turn order in battles are decided by a coin flip (unless if their are badges that grant priority).
STAGES
Believe it or not, we actually now have Stages to work with! Most of them are defined by yours truly, Harmless. We may add more and more unique stages as we go along.
Into the Shadows Stages
Tera City: Yes, we'll even allow you to fight in one of the biggest cities in the world! This metropolis has it all - stores and buildings for people to crash through, a central park to ambush enemies, and if you're really unlucky, cars coming through ready to smash anyone away! Very huge arena, civilians will not get in the way of your fighting.
Arma's Cave: Arma's own cave, where he started his crazy adventure. Inside the cave you've got stalactites, maybe some boulders or two, and some cave walls to put to use. Be wary, though, if you find mossy terrain, it may not be the best idea to jump onto it! Limited sight is also a factor here, reducing everyone's offense-based CV by 1! Outside the cave is the fields that Arma explored once he busted out, where limited sight is no longer in play. The outside terrain is mostly flat grass, medium-sized arena, with some rivers as boundaries. Don't get caught in the rivers!
Wild Valley: Large arena with the rare possibility of a Snake, Slime, or Wolf joining in the fray! The arena is mostly semi-steep hills and some trees here and there, making fighters sure to keep on their toes. Oh, wait a minute! Is that- OH GOD, IT IS! There's Frederick getting hugged by lots of slimes! He's not screaming for help, is he? Hah, just kidding! But do be careful if an enemy tries to attack you!
Terico Village: Small arena with quite a few things inside. You've got Dust's house, Aurelia's house, some bakers stuff, a fountain in the middle, and some houses here and there. Small quarters means that the houses that do take up space are likely going to need to be interacted with to assure victory.
Violet Hill: Medium sized arena with lots of purple violets everywhere. Beautiful scenery, and the Ocelots are for the most part just watching the fighters duke it out. That or sleeping. Mostly a flat terrain, essentially a replacement for the small-sized Final Destination. There is, however, a lot more rubble around and trees to interact with.
Teal Dojo: A dojo that is completely flat and has a mat for the fight to take place on, so players are less susceptible to taking extra damage from high-speed falls. Of course, the contrary would be it's somewhat possible to get a mat burn depending on the character. Anyways, similar to Final Destination, you got the disciples (except for Wind and Aiden) cheering the fighters on and the arena is medium-sized instead of small-sized. There may sometimes be an ice-cube that will interrupt the stage however, looking for his revenge...
Teal Mountains: The road along the Teal Mountains may not be the most suited place for a fight, but it's suitable enough. There happens to be a few sudden cliffs here and there, and one big fall and it's likely finished for a fighter! There's not much vegetation in the area, in fact it looks fairly desolate. Yet snakes do like residing in some places away from the Teal Dojo. Near the Teal Temple there's a river that flows down the mountain - careful not to get tossed into it! The main road is fairly twisted and meanders a lot.
Fall Woods: Fall Woods is a lush forest that separates Mizu Village from the Wild Valley and Terico Village. There are plenty of rumors regarding the woods, but none of them have been confirmed, as many who enter the forest don't return alive... or at all. The stage is large, and there's a ton of trees, vines, and shrubbery to make use of in this stage. Watch out for any cliffs or high drops in the area - they could very well end a battle in a matter of seconds!
Non Into the Shadows Stages
Final Destination: Very simple, and a fairly small arena. Just a flat circle cobblestone terrain with no side effects whatsoever. On the outside is crowds of people cheering on fighters, (maybe) including Hannah and Aurelia!
Mt. Harmlessalot's Ruins: A fairly large arena inside the ruins of Mt. Harmlessalot! The ruins may or may not have plenty of gimmicks and traps unknown to mankind, so be on the lookout for any exploitable things on the battleground! Sometimes the volcano may erupt, sending you to various possible areas!
S.S. Febreeze Airship: The Yarr S.S. Febreeze is ready to go, me matey! Maybe. Known for having a cargo of KFC that may or may not have beneficial side effects. Large arena, can get a bit maze-like and fights may move to different areas of the ship (or even off the ship). Piloted by Harmless obvs.
Outer Space: Lots of different things can happen in Outer Space! In fact, there might be too many to list! In this arena people are free to fly around and are in complete control of their own inertia and gravity. Don't ask why, but it makes for some epic fights.
The Camp Island: Originating from The Survival Contest, this small island is surrounded by a ring of vast ocean water, with a larger island in the background. Croix Dragonois, a man in a grey suit with a grey hat, is found on the smaller island where the contestants start. He may often throw out an item for fighters to use, or can be interacted and even attacked. May be stunned from powerful blows. Will often put out a witty line of sorts that may (or may not) reflect upon his true character. The larger island is a large-sized stage, while the smaller island is a small-sized stage. The smaller island has a single palm tree and a wooden hut made by this weeaboo named Nan- *shot*
Virtual Arena: Originating from the story VAGS, this arena was a virtual world that had contestants with Runouw-like origins to enter and fight, form alliances, and the like. This arena is constantly changing, so stay on your toes! Medium-sized arena, the starting landscape is completely random and will change every 2-3 rounds. If played with Sprinter, the racetrack will stay the same, but the interactable objects and routes along the way will not.
Freezeezy Peak: Originating from Banjo-Kazooie, one of the greatest games for the N64, this snowy christmasy-themed level will put the fighter's skill to the true test. Around the center of the medium-sized arena is a lake of chilly water. Don't slip in it, or your character may slowly lose life and have their mobility decreased! The weather will not affect characters with less or less-than-adequate clothing, but the snowy terrain and random houses probably will. Fine snowballs can be made from this snow even...
Battlefield: If you've played Super Smash Bros. before, you should have a good idea what Battlefield is. It's Final Destination with three platforms, the center one having twice as much height as the other two. The left and right platforms can be reached with a single jump, and you can duck through them to attack unsuspecting foes! No places to fall off from other than from the platforms, as the boundaries of the level are sealed.
Note: All stages that are bigger than small-sized may have random fighters spawns. Fighters will always spawn in eachother's line of sight however.
