THE FORUM GAME RULES - FOLLOW OR DIE
1. Please make the Forum Games have a sense! No dumb "Post 100 times", stuff like "The Vending Machine" is also posting and posting and is way better, no?
2. No dupes. Please do not create a bunch of RPGs. If you have an idea, ask a Staff member if it is unique enough.
3. Bumping is allowed, as long you follow the rules of the forum game.

The below rules and things are a carbon copy of the old one with maybe some slight edits to remove some cancer and make stuff more relevant to 2015 so here goes




You never thought I'd post another forum game did you?...Well April Fools' ♥♥♥♥♥ I'm back

That's right, puny mortals. Forum Gambling is back to rob you of all your riches yet again.

Rules

  • Sign up and get an automatic 100 coins. You can sign up at anytime and be added to the roster.
  • Every day players must pick either the number 1 or 2, along with betting any amount of money that they currently have. Like the last two times, yours truly will be using Random.org to decide the winning number, most likely somewhere between 7:00pm and 10:00pm CST.
  • If you guess correctly, you win double your bet. If you guess incorrectly, you lose it.
  • There is no penalty for failing to participate.
  • After achieving Rank 2, players choose whether to join the ranks of Razzian or Runouwian society. You just have to tell me in either your next bet post after the night's results are posted, or on IRC if I'm there.
  • You can upgrade in Rank according to the number of coins you have. If you drop to 0 coins, your Rank is reset to 1, and upon request you will get another 100 coins.
  • You can buy Upgrades for one-time use if you have reached the required Rank. Only one Upgrade can be bought and used at a time.

FAQ

I want to join! Is it too late?
Nope! The game is always open to sign up.

Do I lose my Rank if I fall below its coin requirement? Or if I go bankrupt?
You won't lose your current Rank unless you hit 0 coins, which means you'll have to request another 100 coins to start you off again -- note that this is to be done instead of placing a bet.

Payday is f***ing ridiculous!
I think it's fair. If you win, your coin count skyrockets past 500,000 coins. If you lose, it drops laughably back to 100 coins. Taking that loss would be devastating.

Hey Ohjay, it's taking forever to even reach Rank 2. What do?
Things will pick up when you reach Rank 3, when you can finally crack down on your first Upgrade. Bet anything >100 coins for maximum profit.

Boranj, the least you can do is lower the coin requirement for [insert Rank here]...

This game is solo, but if you want to ask a member to donate some money to you, you can do that. But I won't make the necessary adjustments until after that member says yes.

So, is there actually any interest in a reboot of this? I want to hear from you guys. Because this was a hell of a lot of fun last time. (I promise I won't be a corrupt host.)

Also, do you guys think that we should keep the old Mario-themed ranks, or should it be changed to something else (probably either forum-related, or possibly just more of a reflection of the community's general interests at this point)? If you have any specific suggestions, please post them.

Just so you know, all you really need to do to play is post once a day (if you can and want to do so, it's by no means mandatory; you can post, hell, once a year if you want to) with a bet and a number, 1 or 2.



Mother Razzia themed ranks, anyone? There'll be a Razzia tree and a rebel tree; you get to choose after rank 2. (♥♥♥♥ I need to figure out how to work these BBCode tables)
