It is simple, it is in a state where it has moved beyond the wall and stopped by the wall, shifting to one or the other when seen.
It seems like you can replace any component of a ship, and it is still the same ship. You decide to replace them all, one at a time, and it is still the same ship. However, you then take all the original pieces, and assemble them into a ship. Is that too, the same ship you began with?

If you are reassembling components out of a ship you previously dismantled WITH the same components, it is likely you'll build up the same ship as before, only the parts may be in different positions.
