-CASPER-"Th-th-thank you sir..." The boy shyly follows you behind, maintaining some distance, and turning his face to somewhere else whenever you looked behind. What an intriguing boy.
After some good 20 minutes of walking, you arrive at the central. Being so close to it, you can notice just how enormous that building is. It's easily more than 100 meters tall. The neon lights really made it stand out amog the rest, though you cannot help but wonder why a communication central would have these. Well, who cares. Time to step in and look for Nolan. The building is just as vast inside as it is outside. It's a busy place, with people going in and out of rooms with their holographic devices for work. Gotta keep up with the work of 50 years after all.Further in the distance, you can see the various rooms leading to the radio transmission rooms. Boy, it will be hard to catch up with the news.
Now, Nolan. Where could he possibly be? You look around for people that could possibly be him. From your quick investigation, you notice two guys that could be Nolan. One is a black haired man on his 50s, with a really strong build, a thick mustache and an eyepatch covering his left eye. The other one is a tall and somewhat chubby bald man with a beard, blue eyes, and while he spoke to a woman doing her job, you could see he had a golden teeth. Which of them to approach?
-JAY-"Hah! I suppose your memory is still a tad lil' fuzzy after these fifty years, eh? My name is Alexander Stuart. Does that ring you a bell?"
You can recall hearing that name before. In fact, many, many times before.
After some moments spacing out and trying to recall who he is, you can remember: He was your boss on a half-time job you had gotten in the ship, printing and carrying papers. Shoot, what a place to meet him.
"Y'see, everybody's already sweating their rears off working. You don't see anybody wanderin' around and wasting their time. Do ya really want so hard to get fired?"
-GREEN-You two take an elevator, descending. There are a lot of underground floors, it seems. 26... 27... 28... 29 floors below the main floor? Whoa, that's gotta be a record. After long and awkward 3 minutes with only you two in there, you arrive at what looks to be the entrance of a lab.
"This is where you stay, mr. Green. I need to go back, but please, wait here. The doctor will give you the details. The woman says, still grining. She walks away and gets inside the elevator. The elevator's doors shut close. You can hear her laughing histerically inside it, and after a while you can hear she say: "Pfft. Kids today are SO guillible, it's almost unbelivable. Poor thing."
-TANIA-A male voice from the crowd "You gotta be joking Tania! You were the main engineer of the ESTO's FTL thrusters, of course everyone's gonna be crazy seeing you here!"
More and more people gather around you, making it impossible to escape. What to do?
-JORDAN-It was extremely dark where you were, with the only source of light coming from the never ending chemical reactions happening inside the stim pack, causing it to glow, but that was it.
You can faintly hear a voice, presumably from the white coated man speak. You could make out a few words: "... worry, it... not... hurt..."
He inserts the stim pack directly into your veins. It hurts so much it's almost unbearable, but it feels so good it's almost undescribable. All your senses are regained at once. It's as if every single thing you have ever felt, and even that you have not felt before.
You can now see, feel, smell, taste, hear. You are back into action. Though, you still cannot move, because you are tied up with some kind of rope that has microchips that disable all your movements, except vital ones, and speaking. "You don't look too confortable in there..." Says a voice nearby. It's from the man that is wearing a scientist white coat; the same that injected the stim pack in your veins. The angle he's standing on however, makes you unable to see his face.
-BEAT-Lara: Hello, B.E.A.T.
B.E.A.T: HELLO THERE
Lara: I am Lara. An AI made by the government. Like you.
Lara: However, unlike you, I have no body.
Lara: Tell me, what do you think of humans?
-MARGE-You turn and rotate the teleporter around, trying to find a button, or something else that could possibly turn it on. After searching for so long, you couldn't find it. Sigh. I suppose you gotta try it la- The teleporter starts glowing. How do you choose the location you want to teleport to, though? Oh, right! You just had to think about it. Where would you want to go to start your tour?
-SATURN-You start feeling nauseous, and suddenly, after having all your senses taken out from you, you lose you consciousness. It's weird to think you are being disassembled and reassembled somewhere else. Almost like a robot. After a brief instant, you wake up in the street, in front of a fast food restaurant counter. You can recall fried carrots with bacon and sweet potato sandwich were a true fever 50 years ago.
Robin is right at your side. "It took you longer to wake up from teleporting this time, Saturn. Are you okay?"
