The only way you can get out is by removing one of the ceiling tiles and crawling through the ceiling's crawlspace, but how can you get there? You can't just crawl up on a piece of furniture and reach up there, because the desk in the office isn't tall enough. How shall you get into the ceiling's crawlspace?

This is literally what I told you to do on the first page. Reverse time so that you have the filing cabinet again, and climb back on top of it to get to the ceiling.

You say that like you can just change the flow of time at the snap of your fingers. No, it requires much more effort than that. First you need to build a time machine, and it's not like the blueprints and parts for it are just lying around this small office.

You assume that when the voice in your head said "slightly broken panel", they meant the vent in the corner of the room. You get on your knees and try to remove the cover. It swings open like a cabinet, revealing a digital clock that's been embedded in the wall. Above the digital display is some text that says, "Time Manipulator", and below the display are the clock's controls. There is a switch with two settings: backwards, and forwards. Right now, the switch is on forwards. There is also a knob with some text next to it that says, "Speed Up/Slow Down".

Hah, like there could just be a time machine hidden in the vent of an office! Just to prove it to yourself, you twist the knob as far right as possible. As you twist it, it becomes easier and easier to turn it, and the time on the clock speeds up exponentially. You quickly get bored of turning the knob even though you've only been doing it for a few seconds, and stand up to go do something else. For some reason, you manage to stand up in the blink of an eye. At this point, you realize that you're also thinking really quickly. In a second, you walk up to the hole and look down at the city. You see the helicopter zip by, and less than half a minute later, it passes by again. The moon is now moving at a much faster speed across the sky. Wow, seems that machine actually can manipulate time.

You set the time machine to backwards, but time continues to move forward. Looks like the device isn't finished yet.

In reality, the machine can make time go backwards, and you had managed to make it do that, but you weren't immune to the machine's effects on time's flow. As time went backwards, you started going through your past in reverse. Even your mind and your thoughts went in reverse, causing you to forget information. As you started going backward, you switched the machine back to forwards, causing time to flow normally. Since your mind went in reverse as well, you didn't realize what happened when you switched the machine to backward, so you switch it backwards a second time. This meant that you were in a stable loop that repeated for a very long time, until the time machine's switch eventually wore out. Due to the time flow's effects on your perception, you don't even realize that this is happened. All you know is that the machine failed to make time go backwards.
