Holy crap how did we not ever wonder if bodies were persistent. Like, we could've just wrote a note, held it tightly, and then jumped from the building. Then just respawn and sit quietly until someone stumbles across the corpse and note.

Acting purely on instinct, you kick the hand into the air. The hand must be made of steel, because after kicking the hand, an extremely painful sensation from your big toe causes you to scream and fall to the ground. Still, thanks to your powerful legs, you had sent the hand spinning upwards. Immediately after you fall to the ground, a powerful explosion occurs in the hallway. You feel a wave of heat as the hallway rocks and the explosion's powerful sound fills your head. Once the hallway stops rocking, you grab the flashlight and look around. However, the flashlight isn't necessary; the carpet right in front of you has been lit aflame, and the fire is rising high. Above the patch of lit carpet is a massive hole in the ceiling. At this point, you notice that your ears are ringing loudly, to the point that you can't even hear the flames.

See if you can get past the fire to explore further. If not, explore wherever you are.

There's no use in trying to get past the flames; they block off the hallway completely, and you probably won't be able to run through the flames without tripping and burning to a crisp. To make things worse, the fire is slowly spreading across the carpet. So, you stand up with some difficulty, and turn around so you can limp away. Before you try leave, you notice that the wall opposite of the flames is badly damaged, to the point of nearly collapsing. You figure that the launching fist must have crashed into this wall when it killed your two captors. Should you try to break through this wall and see what's on the other end, or should you continue down the left hallway? If you choose the former option, how should you break through the wall? By the way, your ears are still ringing.

Considering the limp, the additional physical activity of breaking through the wall does not sound worthwhile. Let's explore down the left hallway. Look for tools and/or weapons, as well as a stairwell or other fire escape.

Also, if we can get to any of the bodies, search them for tools, weapons, and keys.

The bodies are blocked off by the fire, so you limp off down the hallway. You stop by the lounge and search it for anything of use. On the foosball table, you find a small white ball. On the small kitchen counter off to the side, you find plastic sporks, plastic knives, and plastic cups. There are a few drawers inside of the counter, and when you look in them you find a couple small boxes. One of them is thin and rectangular in shape, and it contains a roll of aluminum foil (it also has a sharp edge, used to remove pieces of foil from the roll). The other box is cube-shaped, and it contains small white trash bags. In the fridge next to the counter, you find various food and drinks, all of which have been spoiled.

Which of these items should you take before continuing down the hallway? Keep in mind that you're already holding a flashlight (which you'll definitely need because the building's lights don't work), and you don't have any pockets available because you're only wearing underwear and shoes. Also, the fire is eventually going to spread to this room.

Doram settles his MacGuyver Fan Club pin on his sweatshirt.

Take one of the trash bags out, and put 4 or 5 each of the sporks, knives, and cups in it (less of each if they will not fit, down to a minimum of 2 each). Tie it loosely shut so that you can easily grab it with a single finger. Take another bag out and out and put a couple of the spoiled drinks, and one or two of whatever the least spoiled foodstuff is. Tie that one the same way. Take one more bag out, and put the tinfoil roll, foosball, and the box of bags in it, and tie it the same (if the tinfoil roll does not fit, take some about the length of your arm and fold it up. Then carefully collapse the tinfoil box and fold THAT up. If the box of bags does not fit, grab at least 5).

Grab all three bags with the fingers of your off hand, and pick up the flashlight in your dominant hand, and continue on your way.

Continue to poke into rooms to see if you can find any bodies to raid for clothes, much less useful stuff.

Try spitting on the fire to stop its spread

You decide that all of the ♥♥♥♥ in this room is too useful for you to leave behind, so you follow the above instructions. You are now holding a bag containing various plastic cutlery; another bag containing a couple half-full bottles of warmish soda and a small bag of slightly soft broccoli; and a third bag containing the tinfoil box, the foosball, and the box of bags itself. The box of bags feels rather heavy, but you're sure that the bag it's in can handle the weight. Once you retrieved everything, you go to leave the room, only to find the fire right in front of the door. Well, that was fast. You probably would have left earlier if you had heard the flames approaching, but unfortunately your ears are still ringing. At this point, you might as well consider yourself deaf, because it looks like your hearing isn't going to return anytime soon.

As the fire slowly spreads into the room, you panic and try spitting on it. This is a useless gesture, and after a few minutes you're forced to fall back to avoid getting swallowed up by the flames. In stepping away, you put too much weight on your broken toe, and end up tripping back-first onto the glass-covered floor. ♥♥♥♥, that hurts.

Is there another door? If so, go through it and try to get as far away from the fire as possible. If not, is there a window nearby? If so, throw all the stuff out the window so it doesn't get destroyed by the fire and, knowing that you will respawn, allow the fire to engulf you.
