This my first flash game I'll be programming, a Super Smash Bros. game. I recently came up with this idea yesterday, and since then, I've been gathering sprite sheets for it. Being my first flash game (and a big one, too) I'll of course have some questions. Like: What's a good Game making program to use, or If there's a bug, how do I fix it? Some questions like that. For now, I'm collecting music and sprite sheets. Once that's done, I'll get to programing the game. Of course, I'll need help once I start it. But I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. If I (miraculously) finish this game, I'll be submitting it to Newgrounds.com. (And probably SheezyArt)

A bit off-topic but at the same time not: how much do you know about coding in Flash?

This is embarrassing, but since this is my first flash game....not a lot...>_<

Imma just wondering, but what actionscript are you using? AS2 or AS3?

I'm thinking AS3. Or do you wanna suggest something else?

So you don't even know how to code if you haven't even chosen which AS to choose?

There are more AS2 tutorials on the interwebs, but AS3 is more secure. I use AS2, but that's because it's the one I know most of. :P

I feel like I'm making a big douche of myself. I don't even know the first thing about coding, all I know is to collect sprite sheets and music, etc.

If this is gonna be released, it won't be for like a couple years or something. :o_O:

But yeah, I would take suggestions for for anything. AS2 sounds good.

Ok, so before you start a game, I suggest you learn some coding. It'll probably much easier to code once you know how to code specific things.

It is your choice whether to learn AS2 or AS3. They're different, but AS3 is better overall. If you want help, brando and I know some AS2 stuff.
