The Legacy of Runouw

Ever since starting flash, I've had this great idea. What if a few Flash coders got together and helped make a game based off of the busiest generation we know, including the trolls at the time, and the major happenings?

As proof that I have started work, here is a spritesheet I'm working on for my character.

There will be more than my character. To make your own, use this as a base.

During cutscenes and dialogue, there will be portraits. To keep it spritey, I'd prefer it be based on Pokemon trainers. Here is an example of what mine would be: Image

Need the trainer sprites? Here they all are, from Red/Blue to B/W

The game consists of chapters and boss battles, and is more or less a platformer. As I learn more about AS3, I'll try to code in a way to save files, to allow you to keep your progress.

To keep from being a single programmer, I'll need some people to apply for certain positions. If this doesn't look like enough proof for the game, consider it like the community level series I made, that wasn't deleted for not having 3 levels back then. If we allow one community thing, why not another, whether it be levels or a game?

POSITIONS:
Managers(Shadrixian, accepting two more)
Coders(You need to know AS3, and Adobe Flash. No Game Maker)
Spriters(You need a lot of experience. No throwing random colors into it, and it needs to look professional)
Writers(Writes the storyboard for the game. You need to provide proof of experience)
Beta Testers(Be able to give good criticism)
Musicians(you will need to be able to play actual instruments and convert to MP3s. We need professional stuff, not MIDIs)

Hopefully people will help out with this, and help make a game to put on the game page of the main site.

I like the sound of this, but you usually let your projects rot somewhere... :?

That's because those who offer to help make it drop out without reason, or are too lazy to even do what they applied for. Which is why most are discontinued.

I do have a few battle styles in mind, though. Boss battles will be in the tournament battle style from "Dragonball: Advanced Adventure". The actual stages will be platformer style. There will be a map screen, and once I can, I'll put in multiplayer battling. Gotta start small, though.

Image-Pick it up to boost your attack stat for 30 seconds
Image- Pick it up to boost your defense stat for 30 seconds
Image- Pick it up to boost your speed stat for 30 seconds
Image- Refills health depending on color(Pink=1/8, Green= 1/4, Purple=All)
Image- In-game currency of Runox. Worth 1
Image- In-game currency of Runox. Worth 10
Image- In-game currency of Runox. Worth 5
Image- In-game currency of Runox. Worth 50
Image- In-game currency of Runox. Worth 100
Image- In-game currency of Runox. A whopping 1000
Image- Gives Shade an extra life
