Okay so I read through them all. Not about to give out full judgings but here we go.
Oranj- To be honest, yours was bad, but not the worst. I've already forgotten what it was about so yeah. xD That help?
Red- *bans*
StarK- It had a very good premise, but fell apart with writing that was much too expository and literally kept trying to talk us into the mood. You're supposed to submerge us within the story, not keep saying "Look at that? Did that scare you?" I felt like you were trying too hard and thus I didn't care.
Karyete- Sarcastic tone both makes the story enjoyable and utterly kills the mood.
3rd-MP3Amplifier- It had a nice spooky aura and the vocabulary and description is good, but what weighs this down is dialogue/narrative that doesn't distinguish itself from any other story. Also paced a bit too fast but overall it was a better read than most others.
2nd- KevinOC- It made no sense until the punchline but this was a well written horror story in general (although I can't say the flashback-type narrative worked that well for ya)
And 1st
1st-Yoshi Boo 118
To be honest you were the only real contender for first. While you fell prey to more than one corny line or moment, you brought forth a very spooky aura, surprising twists, disturbing images and a damn good interpretation of Bowser. The clincher ending line was nice albeit hardly original. I especially liked the touch of Peach's suicide and how little it effected Bowser. Overall, while not perfect, it was a good halloween story that I enjoyed reading. Therefore you win.
So yeah... that coulda gone better for all involved parties. Thanks for competing?
