Ahem, yes, hello, no Halloween avie or name here, but I'd just like to say sumthin.
Birdsong, you are the dark, dirty secret within a soul that a person tries to hide. The ugly pain that one often cannot deal with and the thing a person tries to cover up. You're a messenger of our darker selves.
But so what?
Yes, you are a part of someone, their darker feelings, but everyone does. Your messages are simply messages. Even with their darkness all spilled out, a person is still who they were. Maybe someone is not who they like to believe they are, perhaps not as strong as they like to think, but everyone has a bond that carries them forth. One that empowers them and accepts them for who they are.
You are me, and I am you.
*A stuttering pig bursts out of a circle.*
AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY, FOLKS.
THE CREED: Nothing is True. Everything is Permitted.
"...That's rather cynical."
"It would be if it were doctrine, but it is merely an observation of the nature of reality.
To say that Nothing is True is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shephards of our own civilization.
To say that Everything is Permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with the consequences, whether glorious...or tragic."
-Ezio Auditore da Firenze explaining the Creed, 1514, Masayaf.
