I've started a tradition last year when I play my favorite song from the prior year when 2012 starts, to celebrate. Last year it was Secrets by OneRepublic. This year it should probably be Shake it Out by Florence and the Machine. It was a brilliant song with a poignant, passionate beauty that helped me and still helps me through a rough transition. Only fitting that it would be my 2011 song.

My latest story, and one of my personal favorites. A girl bound in silence finds the words to say to her prospective girlfriend as they visit her religious father in a dusty town on the edge of Kansas, where the crows' migration south brings forth anchored memories, the path to resolution, and a new start.

This is difficult, I've loved a lot of songs from 2011.

But personally it has to be Well Done by Navi, the new Korean singer who was discovered early 2011. :)

MP3 EDIT: Ooh, umm, can I count Paradise by Coldplay? I like the tune, but I've fallen in love with the lyrics. That's a good contender, I must admit. :P Though it is still in the charts now, so I might stick with Navi.
