oh god, I remember one time when I was younger I bit off my nail... worst thing I've ever done. It ripped off my entire finger. :c

Once I got my ring finger caught in a door when I was 6 and it was bruised and the whole nail just peeled off. Ew. :/

I actually tried biting my nails once to see how the hell you guys do that. I still don't get it.

Also I think it's a compulsive behaviour Raz so you either just have a tendency to do it or you don't. Like I never understood the big deal of people sucking their thumbs as a kid.
