Happy New Year 2016

I know we still have a day or two but wanted to make this topic to wish everyone a happy new year, since I see myself as the bringer of joy right now. /jokes

For me, 2015 was a marking experience. I've had the opportunity to truly live by myself for some time and be able to take my own decisions. Was it good? Was it bad? I can't answer. But it was important. During this experience, I could take a crystal clear look at my own weaknesses- and it was hard to acknowledge them, but it's all a matter of time and acceptance.

Had also a rough time trying to adapt into that situation; It was a entirely brand new city, an entirely brand new school with quite different social standards and really high criminality. The stress and the pressure were all over the place, and heaven knows if I could survive that longer. And of course I couldn't escape from that; I was robbed. But despite it all, it's still real life. It has problems, and you have to surpass them, right?

In short, this year was me, experimenting another situation, and it showed that I couldn't settle with my old manners or mistakes. It's time to change. And I see 2016 as the perfect opportunity for that, where I'm moving to yet another city, with hopefully a better status of living.

I hope this year had the same impact in any of you. Despite it being difficult, there's never other option. We all should have the constant desire to change for better. And with that all said, I wish everyone and myself a really good 2016.

Truthfully? I feel like I lost this year of my life, the whole thing feels about 2 or 3 months. And what's worse is that could easily happen to the next year. I've been so swallowed up and consumed by my, let's call it, 'illness', that I just feel like that's all I've done this year- look in the mirror, feel fat, starve myself, lose weight. It's not an ideal way to live.

But I guess a healthy new years resolution for myself this year is to accept more support. And besides some great things have happened this year even if they felt clouded over, I went to a music concert, I performed in a play, I found a purpose in life etc.

For real though I think the biggest change the new year is going to bring is writing dates because it's going to take me like 2 months to adjust to it being 2016. Other than that, just like all other holidays, New Year's seems pretty superficial to me, and sometimes even more arbitrary than other holidays (see previous sentence), but that's no reason not to just celebrate it for the hell of it. I'd probably rate 2015 around a 6/10. there's room for improvement. Besides, I have stuff I'm looking forward to later this coming year anyway, so that's a plus.
