You know, your thoughts were the exact ones I was thinking a while back. It seems that there will be some similar elements that SM63 had, but yes, most likely everything will be different. But really, if people can't adjust to a different gameplay... Well then... Why are they playing games? >_>

So, apparently this game is now called "Last Legacy"...lol, it's a play on "Final Fantasy".

I's truly a matter of opinion, I think it might actually be better than SM63 (though I never beat it).
no one has played the game yet, so until then "the world may never know".

Lol, I didn't notice that until you pointed that out. It doesn't look much like Final Fantasy though. : P I'm hoping for an epic story mode... Although nothing has been said about that yet. D:

The level designer looks good, but unfortunantly, I fear that a lot of the levels made by the community will be spam levels.
