Rules That Matter

as the LDC goes on (every week or so) 1 rule will be added where it forces you to remove something from your level.
such as: remvoe all nature (trees/rocks/clouds/etc)

nothing too big like remove all triggers.

Maybe not a major LDC but a mini ldc

Karyete: Seriously, what is your problem? And not only that, you fail to even acknowledge you might be in some wrong here.
Karyete: Oooh it's you? Hello. Feel free to drop this right now. You're going to make yourself look like an idiot.
Karyete: We don't want to hear your opinion at this stage.
Karyete: You're not getting any apology, especially after now.
Karyete: You can stay up on your high horse, continue to twist the truth and act like an absolute child all you want. I refuse to give respect to a man who right now is picking up a dropped argument because he simply cannot fathom the idea that he might be in the wrong.

A Level 1/Opening Stage theme. Level 1 is often one of the most if not the most memorable level in many classics. It often has some of the most memorable music. Since it's right at the beginning it's something you're bound to remember since it'll be your first impression. This theme would be to try to find a way to make a level that feels like it belongs as level 1 of a series and/or game. Because frankly, some levels, including one I've put on the portal, feel like they belong somewhere in the middle of the game, rather than at the beginning. Tutorials may or may not be included at the host's discretion. But one of the main points is to make it memorable, fun, and of course, well designed.

Why not make a replica of Bowser Land, the happiest place on Earth? an Island, or somewhere calming? I like rushing headfirst into danger and all, but I think a calming level would really add counterbalance to the design. Plus, since we have these dialogue texts, storytelling can be made much more fluently.

Bump, update OP pls

This is more of a level suggestion than a contest suggestion but I was thinking maybe some sort of big maze-like castle/dimension/whatever with locked entrances and doors and booby traps and stuff. Maybe have some clues that direct you in a certain order that will do something bad if you stray from it? i.e. Trigger maze

Bump, maybe we should have a remake of any classic game, preferably a beat-em-up like Double Dragon since there's nice melee fighting mechanics in the game now and enemies that could make it work.

Or Ninja Gaiden.

Brb, planning Ninja Gaiden themed level. Loaded with birds.

Do you know what's great? You could actually do a Rainbow themed level for LL.

IT'S SO KEWL.

Hmm, I'm thinking of remaking Hell's Rebellion at some point in an LL level, and it would work so much better and I can make it much more accurate to the original dream without a stupid continuation story. Yaaaaaaa, then I'll finally be at peace with myself. :3
