There is objective game design and then there's opinions. Quite frankly, despite how well I make my level for the LL LDC, I still gave it the lowest rating out of the three of us. In fact, I would've been the one person that would've killed my first place. While there is some truth to the tier list, it is also biased by the fact that one person runs it. If that one person prefers story levels, and it's highly possible that levels, and designers of such levels, of such archetype rise to the top in spite of not being as well built as the levels and people below it. I frankly skip story in the majority of the games I play because most of the time I know it already. Because of this, I'd probably be biased against story levels and barely factor story in if at all. If multiple people run a tier list, then while they might agree on some of the objective designers, personal bias can cause conflict and would mandate compromise that nobody could possibly be happy with, because if they would all be happy with it, then I don't think that would be considered compromise. I could be wrong though.

Y'know, I think I've just been enlightened. Frankly, I've been bias too, in many ways, but it isn't worth going into how.



Anything else I want to say has already been said, so yeah. I'm now skeptical over if the Tier List should be something to refer to seriously. I never looked so deep into it before.
