Minecraft Troubles

I bought Minecraft and downloaded it onto my laptop, but all I get is this message:

I also tried using the online version, but it won't work either. :cry: Can anyone help me in solving this problem?

FIRST OFF I'D REPORT THAT MESSAGE TO MOJANG SINCE I DON'T THINK IT SHOULD DISPLAY THE MESSAGE LIKE THIS.

SECOND, IT SEEMS YOUR FIREWALL IS IN THE WAY. JUST ADD AN EXCEPTION FOR MC.
