I know that a lot of people don't care about the ender-dragon but we could reset the end and the chunks containing the stronghold so we can have a little replay. This time, we will follow the rules just to show that we can and are dedicated to and people will stop being butt-hurt. I also think that we should make the rules more specific. What I mean by this is don't post the rule once in the already packed topic of posts where people are never going to find it. Gather all the rules (no PvP logging, no doing big things without telling the server, no stupid raids etc.) and slap it on the first post.


Also, like I said before, don't just say "I hate this server, I quit". If you really like playing on this server ENFORCE THE GODDAMN RULES.

I can't say much more seeing as how I very recently joined this server. I am only expressing how I feel about my analysis of what has happened so far.

We also need more rp. I will suggest a plan in a later post.

One more thing. If you don't agree with my ideas or you don't like them, simply state "I don't like your idea" or "I disagree". If you go on expressing how stupid you think an idea is it creates a bad sort of tension between people. Don't ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ about it k?

Guys, I have a suggestion. Stop repeating the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over again and come to a conclusion.

My vote from Ven's list is to do the first option. The other two options I don't really care for.

Yeah, conclusions need to be made, and the majority is being overwhelmed by a bunch of tiny minorities. It's annoying. And it should be, more so for me, who holds that largely ignored majority, than anyone else.

Do you want me to help? I'll help. But some of you have to understand why I'm so angry with this. If problems cause someone like me to "rage quit lololol" the server, isn't something wrong? The first time I left I expected some of you to take the hint. The second time I left, I explicitly stated why, but some of you are so hung up on the fact that I left to not even read what I'm saying. No one has yet to respond to this post, they only vaguely agree and, again, respond to my completely irrational departures. And shouldn't the fact that I'm being so irrational send some sort of message to you guys? Are we really just people on the internet that don't know each other at all?

Basically, can you look past my irrationality and see my reason? I've tried expressing my ideas two times already, both after I quit. The first time I quietly left and said something needs to change. The second time, I made a big exit and demanded change. Apparently both ways have failed. The leaves are entirely necessary because I need space away from the scene. The reason I'm not quitting Runouw.com is because I still like you all and I really earnestly want to make the server better. The reason I quit Skype and (and Steam for a few of you) is because you're more likely to be irrational there(chats are more impromptu than forums) than here. Notice that I only noticeably blow up ingame and inchat, but I only blow up on the forum as soon I notice you resent my absence. As soon as that attack hits, we're talking about two problems, one having to do with the server and one having to do with myself and my rare need for personal space.

Do you want to forget about the latter and focus on fixing the server or not?

If so, start now.
If I assumed something incorrect, don't even refute. I'm only putting my problems aside as soon as you guys put my problem aside. Yes, I'm being defensive. Yes, I'm being irrational. However, if I said this as a neutral voice instead of as the victim that I currently am, directly or indirectly, then I'm almost positive that you guys would agree with me.

I know we're on the same team and everything, both at the front end of all this, but I'd just like to ask why you feel you are superior to us ("someone like me"). I'm pretty ♥♥♥♥ angry too after everything. Something's definitely wrong. But leaving isn't really a very good "hint" to drop. You doing so honestly frightens me, and I know a few others too, more about you and your emotional state than it seems to trigger the reaction you intended. Obviously people weren't doing what they were supposed to do, obviously things need re-clarification, changes, etc. trying my best not to point fingers but You're really not showing great responsibility either, Nin. I feel like we should be able to expect better from someone like you, especially as a moderator.

As I'm told, some of the issues Ven talked about are being/have already been addressed. Stronghold I'm pretty sure was revamped a bit by two people who decided to stay out of the stronghold so as not to have an unfair advantage. Invisibility potions are officially banned (but we have no way of enforcing this, yet). The server host has been contacted about getting some of those plugins we were discussing. I'm pretty sure that through this thread we've gotten across the point that things really need to be discussed more, but afaik no rules have been enacted as of yet (edit: They're currently being written, according to Ven).

What I'm saying is to focus on fixing the server instead of my emotional state. And by "someone like me" I mean someone that's usually not mad at anything. Thus the it precedes "rage quit" in my sentence.

Now, I earnestly think that instead of hiding the rules of "Server Changes", we move all rules to a separate section of the first two posts, because:
    1. It makes it easier to see
    2. All the rules will be organized into one place
Having it mixed in with everything else, like mod descriptions and geographical explanations, is bad organization.

As far as RP goes:

Do not kill or trap AFK players.
Attacks must be announced out of character. All sides must agree to the conditions.
Raids/thefts can still be done secretly, but if you are found, both sides must agree on what to do.
Rules may only be broken if both sides of the conflict agree out of character.
You may only use banned vanilla items for staged encounters, meetings and fights that all parties involved have agreed to.

If you are constantly avoiding RP and encounters, some sort of action should be taken.

For any of this to happen, everyone needs to be open-minded as an RPer.

Any RP-events in general, instead of only raids.As far as the whole seperate post thing, I own the 3rd post too so i'll move ven's server updates to the 3rd one instead of the 2nd and put the rules in the 2nd post.

Updates anyone? I'll deliver.

1) Chau and I have been working on the stronghold yesterday, we've removed all the torches, reset any traps (that we've encountered, the thing's a tangled maze and in all likelihood we've probably missed a few), and added a loooot more spawners in that one section that didn't really have anything. I've got some more traps and obstacles to add (probably tomorrow), and Chau said he'll probably be adding additional rooms/loot over the next few days too. End hasn't been regenerated yet, nor has the egg been deleted, but the stronghold is currently blocked off until Chau's finished up. The End and the egg will definitely be taken care of before then.

As OJ mentioned, neither of us has any particular interest in the stronghold, the loot, or the End. Obviously we don't want to ruin it, so we've agreed to either sit out during attempts until the rest of you clear it or only play supporting roles (think holding off mobs, lighting up explored sections, serving as medics with potions or food) as the party leader sees fit.

2) I've started (but admittedly not gotten very far) on a rules rewrite. This includes several additions to the RP aspect of the server (Nin I'd definitely appreciate your help with this one, I tried making appropriate changes last time and it didn't really accomplish anything, largely from not knowing what had really gone down) as well as some balancing rules (invis pots and battleaxes being discouraged, for example). Organization has been brought up, and Chau's also suggested a shortened version of the key points. I had planned to split it up into four parts: mods/plugins/general server connection stuff (application goes here), info about the world and territories themselves (world lore, like that for the stronghold, goes here), a long version of the rules that covers everything in detail, and a shortened version that conveys the important bits so people aren't reading rules for an hour (roleplay issues covered in both of these).



As it stands, my priorities are to get the stronghold done with first so it's not forgotten about before being finalized again, and then moving onto the mod/server and world info write-ups. If anyone feels up to the challenge, even a rough draft of the new rules would be greatly appreciated.
