Mojang and Nintendo

Mojang and Nintendo

Postby Zacky » October 12th, 2011, 7:40 pm

Well, as a non-PSP-owner, I am annoyed by the fact that there is no Minecraft Pocket Edition for a Nintendo system.
Think of it: many Nintendo fans who have never heard of Minecraft before could get introduced to it. Also, we Nintendians could fufill our need to kill a Creeper on a DS.
What do you think? Sould Notch have Minecraft on a Nintendo system?

I like this, but I'd rather have it on 3DS. The DS doesn't have enough processing power for a game like minecraft. Maybe as an eShop download.

Also, notch said he would love it on 3ds, but that mojang already has "Soooooo much work".

It should be on the nD. :awe:
EDIT: Lol, there's already 2DCraft on the nD.

But yeah. It has to be on SOME kind of Nintendo system...

The WiiU. Definitely. You play it on the extra controller thing with the smaller screen, with all the buttons and stuff, and others can watch you run in terror from creepers.

A downloadable title on the 3DS is not capable for this type of game. Also, toggling the 3D on the PC looks ugly to me. Sorry, Notch. But even on a cartridge, I'm not sure how much the 3DS can handle this game without level dividers/break points. Though I think that it being on the WiiU could work perfectly. That system could probably handle the game on download.

Good idea, inventory on the bottom (the whole inventory) screen (the remote) and then the gameplay on the top.

Personally, I think it would be best on the DS (not 3DS). Minecraft and a DS game cost excactly the same ($20 in USA). Also, you could communicate via DS Download Play or wi-fi.
Also, it could not be played in the ugly 3D version, but it could still be played on the 3DS.
But hey, the WiiU doesn't sound so bad. I would prefer it on a portable Nintendo system, however.

That's what I ment. I think the 3D looks ugly with Minecraft.

3D Anaglyph = Ugly, tinted red and blue
3DS Parallax Barrier = Smooth, glasses-free 3D.

Honestly, they can just tweak the 3D option for Minecraft.
