I think it's possibly a good idea to have it on the 3DS. Imagine a creeper exploding right in front of you with the 3D turned on (although that would suck because you'd probably die from the explosion).

And then, maybe, there's a mod gallery, and you install Minecraft mods straight to your 3DS, and use Single Player Commands to spawn a giant, and FIGHT IT IN 3D WITH A DIAMOND SWORD AND PIECE OF BREAD.
