MINECRAFT! Y U NOT UPDATING TO 1.2?!

I first got minecraft when it was in the 1.0.0 version. A few weeks later, it asks if I want to update it to 1.1 and I agreed to update it, but now it won't ask me if I can update it to 1.2. Why? How do I update it to 1.2?

You have to download the snapshot manually since Minecraft 1.2 is not officially out.
Look up a guide on youtube, i'm not showing you how to install it. :3
