I need to make an XP farm. I have pretty much everything already, and I want to pvp at the end of the month.

Is this server completely vanilla, or does it have a couple of elements that make it not-as-vanilla? It would be good to know before I die then learn that I could have had a better edge for that situation.
And for the death-ban, is it cleared at the end of each month, or does it last for a month?

Died on Friday.
I tried to go to SuYo's base but went the opposite way I was supposed to and ended up on a virtually lifeless continent with almost no trees and only the occasional chicken or pig. I also wasted the wood I had previously collected on boats trying to get to get across the two continents in the way of reaching the one I died on. I starved, btw.
