It's hardcore, you can't respawn (unless you donate) until the next map. There is a new map every month. Sometimes it's not right away, so you may have to wait.

I found cows near our base. I ended up moving 100 blocks away and here i am. I have an enchanting table now and I will allow only 1 person to come live with me so we have maximum safety.

I went on and grinded mobs for way too long, killed 5 different spiders, and yet I didn't get any string.

Some guy who "wanted to team up with me" lava bucketed me. I signed out before dying with half a heart, while on fire. I'm only a bit from spawn too.
I do have the diamond he tempted me with in my inventory, though.
If I come back online, will I still be on fire? If so, how much time do I have before it will damage me?

EDIT: actually, not sure if it's against the rules or not to kill someone under PVP protection, ask on forums.

but NPC villagers are the rarest and sell for A LOT on hcsmp. I wonder if I could trade these guys..
