Bump, but I got a pretty good seed earlier and I wanted to share it.

Seed: -8941346089167161209

Spawns you in a nice plains biome with a nearby forest and a taiga to the south. There is a small cave to the west (perfect for a temporary residence if you like setting up in a cave), and a large cave ripe for exploring right across the river from the small one. Southwest of the spawn point is a small village (I mean really small, there's only four houses and no farms). The chest in the blacksmith contains 5 DIAMONDS, Iron Pants, an apple, and a gold ingot.

So pretty much you can have a diamond sword, diamond pick, and iron pants right off the bat. Is that awesome or what?!

Double post because of another cool seed discovery.

This seed also starts you off in plains. There's a nearby village to the southwest, and inside the blacksmith are two iron swords, 8 iron ingots, 3 bread, a diamond, and DIAMOND HORSE ARMOR. The village is a little bigger than the one I shared last time, enough to have one farm. Southwest of the village is a gigantic forest with a ton of giant trees ripe for logging. Scattered around the village are small caves you can explore, and there's also a ♥♥♥♥ of chickens to kill for food.

No, really, I'm not joking; the seed is my name. Well, TECHNICALLY it's not, since the game converts it to a bunch of numbers, but my name is a lot easier to remember than a string of numbers, right?

I would consider you guys trying this out yourself. If you're really bored (or just really curious) one day, input your name as a seed and see what you get! I was honestly expecting disastrous results (something akin to an unstable Mystcraft age, but worse), but got a cool world instead.

So after playing around I found something amazing.

-45 gives you a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigass snow-covered landscape. Like...Ive been flying in creative for Chrst know how long and have yet to find a jungle, a desert, or even a village. Hell, even the ocean isnt here!

Want a challenge? Play this. Trees are extremely limited, but there are plenty of resources to be found, as well as sheep. Still browsing for cows and other food mobs though...


And if I can recall correctly, punching in....I think the seed is either 0 or 1. But it spawns you on this island with only two trees, two pigs, and two caves. And I beleveto the South is a tiny island sticking up with some grass. Its a good hardcore survival map and a great way totest teamwork on servers.

I found a pretty nice seed earlier and I figured I'd share it. It drops you in a small forest, near the water. There's all three types of wood around, so you can take your pick for which one you want, and there's also a buttload of sheep too. There's also some chickens not too far from the spawn.

What, you ask, is the seed? Be prepared for what may be the most hilarious seed ever.

I randomly decided to share my opinion and it looks like Mojang has the same thoughts. Heh.

EDIT: Looks like my name seed doesn't give you anything near as good with 1.7.2. sadfaic

EDIT2: -8941346089167161209 also changed a bit, but it still gives you a nearby village with 5 diamonds. Woot.
