Since SuYo's server seems to be down, I have a proposition.

We should work on a Runouw only server for all Runouw Minecrafters, a 24/7 server just for us. Doesn't matter what type it will be, just that every Runouw member gets to check out everyone's builds and creations. I would say that we could use Kirb's server, but he said he can't run it on a 24/7 basis. Or if he could somehow do that, we could just use his.

If not, then we could begin building one for ourselves. Any Runouw member would be welcome there.

We'd have to gather a list of who could become admins or moderators if we're going to do this, and I think the mods here should be the ones to choose those. (IF everyone agrees on this proposition)

So, what do you guys think? Should we start a new server, or should we use an existing member's server as the Runouw official Minecraft server?

I think the main problem (and reason it hasn't been done sooner) is that nobody has a machine capable of hosting a server 24/7, except Suyo's... If I'm right he had paid for hosting for his server, so funds would likely be an issue. It would be great if someone did have the resources to run a server constantly, but the fact that there is nobody now is probably responsible for our current lack of servers.

Perhaps we could just find a relatively quiet one online, and gangbeat everyone there into submission? Maybe not take over, but just have a section for Runouw builds... I don't know, like an alliance with a site that does have a server going already. Meet new people, play a cool game, have fun.

Although, I'd have to set up plugins and stuff, and that costs like, 20$ extra. I'll buy a dedicated server, since it's cheap, but I'll need a handy-helper to help me with permissions and stuff.
I'll try doing a 6$ Server from CubedHost in a month, when hopefully I have the money.

The rules will be all the standard rules and non of my old crappy rules.
But, generate 500000 chunks, and I will ban you without a question.
And the ops will be Nin and Ven.




EDIT: The only problem is..8 player slots. Would that be fine? Suyo's server only had 10 and it had usually like, 5 people on of the most usually.

I don't see why the mods should choose the moderators for the server, since not too many mods (as far as I know) play Minecraft. I personally think the one who runs the server should be the one to pick the moderators.

They didn't. I'm choosing nin because he was admin of Suyo's server.
And I'm choosing ven because he's just most trustworthy next to Nin.

Bleh, disregard that. Whoever runs it can pick the mods. Doesn't matter to me, I'm only proposing it, not starting it.
