My Minecraft Sand Castle project (WIP)

My Minecraft Sand Castle project (WIP)

Postby Newgeneration » May 18th, 2012, 8:21 pm

So ever since I've been offline, I had just enough time to get to work on this, and I have three preview images of it:
First Preview
Second Preview
Third Preview

It's still being built, and it's taking a long time to work on. I have a roof to build on one of the towers, and the inside of the main tower needs to be built. Lot's of sand to remove too. So there's a lot left to work on. If I had a decent laptop for video recording, I'd record a video of it, or create a server if all else fails. I have a friend of mine helping me every now and then too. Here's a few things this Castle will contain:

    4 Towers, One main tower
4 Bridges connecting the towers to the middle
Lots of sandstone, cobble, and stone slabs.
An extreme amount of living space in the main tower (Because I like to build stuff with large amounts of space)
A courtyard on all four sides of the castle.
    And more...

Holy ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ man!

This looks amazing so far, and it would be great if you would give us a world download or something to see what it's like!

Yes, that's what I planned to do. I had originally given the world file to my friends who were helping me with it, but I believe it couldn't hurt to post a DL here. I just have to upload the project to planet minecraft first.

The world file download link:

http://uploading.com/files/69fad543/Sand%2BCastle.zip/

And link to Planet Minecraft project page:

http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/huge-sand-castle-908462/

And currently, the castle won't look right with the original Minecraft texture pack, so the Inspiration, or Steel Feathers Enchanted pack is recommended for the best quality. Will Eventually build it to look better in the Default texture pack.

Updated, after quite awhile of building, I managed to finish the area that circles around the tower. (The courtyard) Both doors at the front are open, and I'm now moving onto the main building. I've been planning how to build each floor, and have finally come up with a plan. Drew these out with the 3DS's game note function.
First Floor
Second Floor
Third Floor
Fourth Floor
In the Floor plans, blue is a door, red is either a door one floor above the current one, or other important things outside the building. The rest is walls, and stairs of course.
Planet Minecraft link is in first post.

Excuse the terrible drawing skills, it's hard to draw on the DS.

Just a thought, but don't use Imageshack. Things like that normally remove images after you exceed a limit.
