This has been the biggest problem in minecraft since forever.
Guess who might have fixed it?
Dinnerbone.
Today, lighting! I think I solved the half slab lighting glitch, and I had a late night revelation on how to greatly speed up lighting too.
https://twitter.com/Dinnerbone/status/2 ... 9222468609Remember, he said he thinks, so it most likely will be fixed but not sure.
He also said on reddit
"I can't promise that any lighting glitches at all will be fixed. I just can't, this stuff is very unstable and hard to test properly.
I can, however, maybe promise that it'll be faster. Worst case slightly, best case a whole bloody lot."
Anyways, this bug was so popular and despised by lots of runouw members that it deserved it's own thread.

Karyete: Seriously, what is your problem? And not only that, you fail to even acknowledge you might be in some wrong here.
Karyete: Oooh it's you? Hello. Feel free to drop this right now. You're going to make yourself look like an idiot.
Karyete: We don't want to hear your opinion at this stage.
Karyete: You're not getting any apology, especially after now.
Karyete: You can stay up on your high horse, continue to twist the truth and act like an absolute child all you want. I refuse to give respect to a man who right now is picking up a dropped argument because he simply cannot fathom the idea that he might be in the wrong.
