I've noticed that not everybody has been experiencing this, but me and a couple of my friends have experienced our clients freezing every now and then, and crashed a couple of times. My guess is that something in the coding may have broke or become unstable, but I can't read Javascript well yet, so I can't be entirely sure on that.

I just hope this doesn't happen anymore when 1.4 is released.

Not quite freezing and crashing, but my MC has been suddenly glitching randomly and switching a setting without me knowing, and it doesn't show it in the options screen. Most common is when it starts strobing in and out of fullscreen or third person mode and I have to alt+f4 and restart the game. Most recently, the mouse sensitivity dropped to the lowest setting possible and I couldn't change it.

Java =/= Javascript

Also, it's java, and Java is known to be a bit laggy due to it's way of doing things.

Just tells you how little I know. :oops:

Anyways, are you using the correct type of Java that best fits with your system? I ask because I use a 64-bit operating system and I got the 32-bit version of Java.

There is a little thing called 'the big 3s'
1: your system's bits
2: your OS's bits
3: your application's bits

It works like this: 32 bits can run on 64 bits, but usually not the other way around.
You can have 64 bit system and 64 bit OS, and still be able to use 32 bit java, but you can't have a 32 bit OS an use 64 bit java,
although 64 bit tends to run better on 64 bit systems than 32 bit does.

I don't really hate it because it never happens to me. I think something's wrong with your computer/Minecraft setup.
