I agree with Ven, being knocked out would be terrible for multiplayer. The lowered mobility and dizziness would be okay, but losing consciousness and being unable to do anything would be horrible. Maybe if it was a single-player only thing.

About the Nether Quartz aggro'ing the pigmen, I don't agree with that. Nether Quartz doesn't have enough of a use to warrant that, IMO. The only thing the Quartz is good for is redstone stuff (how many people can actually wire up complex redstone stuff successfully?) and XP. If it aggro'd the pigmen, it would be in need of a buff, for example it could be another material to make tools and armor out of. Or mayyyybe, you could upgrade something with them? For example, chests or furnaces? (totally not stealing ideas from FTB)

Lawl, honestly, I was thinking the ridiculous XP was enough of an incentive for pigman aggro. Although now that you mention it, yeah, that does seem pretty broken. Maybe nether quartz has like, a 1 in 15 chance of exploding at about the same strength as TNT, in fact, any block update has a chance to trigger it. You'd hear the hiss, and have time to get out, and it would fit the danger of the nether nicely.

Actually, you know what? I want a better End too. A way to re-summon the enderdragon for sure, maybe some elaborate altar with obsidian and endstone and a beacon? That might be kinda excessive, maybe just a block of diamond or similar. End stone can be crafted into endstone bricks, just like netherrack can if you smelt it and craft them in a 2x2 grid to get netherbricks, which can then be made into stairs, slabs, fences, whatever. I'd love an End-specific tree too, like oak but it could never grow into a large oak- the textures would be the same, but very pale with just a touch of brown and green. They have a chance to drop enderpearls instead, idk. And for the love of god, the end does not just stop after the main island. Separated by 30-40 blocks, large islands would generate, with smaller planetoids randomly throughout. If you're going to make an entire dimension with only one purpose, a one time bossfight, at least make it big enough for players to properly explore.

I feel like zombies should attack pigs. That way zombie pigmens could be made aboveworld without the use of lightning...only problem with that is you have to mirror the routine you do with converting a zombie villager to a regular one in order for this to work. Zombie hits a pig and it gets a poison effect for a few seconds, before turning into a zombie pigman. Just without weapons. Maybe a zombie pig if all else?

I feel like there should be some way to make pigmen. Like, why do we have the texture and code in the game if they aren't used? Besides modding I mean.

Atmosphere for higher altitude would be interesting as well. Snow higher you go, and the highest has a risk of wind storms that, if you aren't holding Shift, will carry you off the cliff to your death. Maybe avalanches? I dunno. Some cool ♥♥♥♥ like that. Tides for the oceans would be cool, and definitely extend the ocean to contain actual abysses. Undersea creatures and the like. Anglers, sharks, the occasional giant squid. That sort of stuff.

And the red dragon. Feasts on villagers. Likes to burn stuff because pyromania. Respawns on death in random locations.

Desert storms, earthquakes, cave-ins, etc.

And just for the hell of it, maybe to stop making floating trees happen, trees themselves will topple onto their sides thanks to gravity. Yes?

Just a few things off the top of my head.

I feel like we should be able to use the Ender egg to hatch a new End dragon. Place it on a pyramid of end stone, set it on fire, and it hatches into a baby. Give it a MC week and you have a new adult. Rinse and repeat.

That sounds pretty good to me, Ven. I'm for it. I've never actually been to the End in vanilla, so I can't really give my opinion on that, but from what I can gather, it needs some kind of cool resource. An Enderpearl-dropping tree sounds genius to me. Maybe it could only grow on End Stone, like how Nether Wart only grows on Netherrack?

Where in the hell did the red dragon come from, Shade? That doesn't sound like a good idea to me. If it finds you early game, you're ♥♥♥♥.

Using the Dragon Egg to hatch a new dragon sounds pretty good to me. I mean, it doesn't have any use now, and eggs hatch into new creatures, right?

It's sortof a trophy, which is why I disagree with it. It's real, placeable proof that you beat the dragon, and so any method of spawning a new dragon from the egg requires that the person with it gives it up. On PvP servers, or any servers that aren't as friendly as ours, I can't see that working out so well. :p Nah, I'd stay with a non-egg method. It would make them no longer finite, but considering what a small role the enderdragon actually plays in the game, I think that would be fine.

What he means is that the egg can hatch into an already-tamed pet dragon that will help you onward.

No, I'm pretty sure he meant respawning the Ender Dragon.

Maybe when you start a new world you see the dragon flying in the distance, and hear its roar? And after you get a reasonable distance in the game, like beat the Ender Dragon, it becomes more frequent and shows up a lot more where you are, but won't fight you. You have to provoke it to fight by shooting it with an arrow.

Difference between the Red Dragon and the End Dragon would be the Red Dragon can land on the ground, walk towards you, bite, and breath fire for 1-2 seconds. And won't break ♥♥♥♥ like End Dragon does.

Red Dragon was an Alpha idea Notch brought to mind that Jeb ditched, and has frequently been on player's minds for ages. There was a well-thoughtout thread on Minecraftforums someone made showing screenshots of a custom render of the dragon, its attacks, etc, and a full in-depth guide to what makes it different. Red Dragon would be roughly the same size of the End Dragon, but a bit more bulky, since its a little stronger. Plus it wouldn't drop eggs, instead it would drop....♥♥♥♥, I dunno. Something rare. Loot of heroes who died fighting it? I dunno. Swords, armor, maybe some diamonds a bit of gold. ♥♥♥♥ dragons eat. A couple rotten flesh. Add a drop rate to all that and you have rare loot for the Red Dragon.

All that would have to be done is take the End Dragon class, tweak it so that it can land and not break stuff, and add in some features, and we have a Red Dragon.

Stoneheart is right. It was an early idea in minecraft like chairs and tables, the gear (allows you to place redstone on walls), and the quiver. You can have all of these and more in this mod I have seen. To download it, go to http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1313594-164-rediscovered-mod-wip-unused-unimplemented-and-removed-features/ It's called The Forgotten Features Mod!
