Humor me here, what do you mean by 32x32? I thought tiles were only 16x16. Are you just doubling their size? I guess what I'm asking is, wouldn't that mess things up?

texturepacks like sphax go up to 512x in quality just saying

I guess I don't really understand how there could be a higher number than there are pixels in a tile. Maybe I'm just overcomplicating it.

Basically, in order to run a 32x32 texture pack (or any higher size), you need a performance-based mod like Optifine to allow the display of higher-resolution texture-packs (or that may be the only one that allows this, idk).

Nevermind, I understand now. It has to do with the resolution.

On another note, I think I'll make a few little edits and post them in the dropbox. Stuff from LL, such as the dirt, wood, and possibly doors.

Like we (nin) said I prefer not having such a drastic change on the whole thing. The whole idea originally was supposed to be a few edits.

I was just planning on changing stuff like the doors, wood planks, dirt and stuff like that. Then again I'm not sure how to change the actual grass texture on top of the dirt, so I may just leave the dirt alone. I'll make a few edits and post screenies.

EDIT: Got some screenies. Probably not that good, I'm not that great of an artist. Probably better than my other screenshots since I didn't have to resize the LL tiles to fit. And yes, before you tell me, I know you can remove the hud by pressing F1, I just realized that AFTER I finished uploading the screenies.
Screenies (Warning, kinda big): show
Oak Wood Planks and Wooden Door

Dirt (only sides, I can't figure out how to edit the actual grass texture on top)

Tundra

Also, I was thinking. Maybe we should merge this with Oranj's Default + pack? That way we get the helpful utilities in his pack combined with the new textures of this ongoing pack.

That actually looks pretty cool. The start border between snow and dirt should be lowered two pixels so it lines up with grass, though. The outline of the door should probably be the dark brown that bricks are separated with, too.

Two separate texture packs it is. The server one can be the faithful one, while this can probably be a separate and optional download.

Fixed the door and tundra tiles. I made two versions of the wooden door because I'm not sure which looks better. I think the bottom one looks better, but I'm not 100% sure. I also uploaded this to dropbox, with the bottom wooden door design.
Fixed screenies: show
Wooden Door 1

Wooden Door 2

Tundra

Now I'm thinking of just brightening/darkening the oak planks to make the other wood planks. Good or bad idea?
