Runouw Texturepack

like i said i really liked the grass, not too sure about the logs though. If you show me a cobble texture I'll probably change my mind.

EDIT: the thing about the logs is they don't morph together, it's just an invisible line between the blocks, if you know what i mean.

but i like the doors

Thing is, there really isn't a good cobble texture in LL. I was thinking of using the castle background tile for stone and dungeon background tile for cobble (or the other way around, I don't remember) since they're the closest to stone and cobble, but they're so different that I'm not sure.

About the logs, I think I understand what you mean, but maybe you're thinking a little too much LL. The original logs didn't exactly "morph" together either.

And, since my earlier question didn't get answered, do you think I should just adjust the brightness to get the other logs, such as birch?

yeah probably, that's what jeb/notch/whatever did
also, for the cobblestone, mossy could be the greenish type dungeon and you could edit it so it's light too

That's a cool idea. I might try that.

Anyway, I finished up the wood planks. Here's a comparison, with edited on the top and default on bottom:

Is this texture pack going to turn into "I'm trying to feel like I'm playing LL and SM63 in Minecraft"?

Two separate texture packs it is. The server one can be the faithful one, while this can probably be a separate and optional download.

I like them all except for Birch. Idk why but they look weird.

Because it's not the right color.

Also, the grass texture is top left texture. It's in grayscale so it can cooperate with biome textures, so I recommend making your texture and converting it to grayscale instead of directly editing the texture.

Anyway, I had time, so I edited the faithful-ish pack.
Foliage/Grass gradients are edited, the iron stuffs are a tad lighter, the R is inscribed in chiseled sandstone, melons are darker, diamonds are bluer, sand has less contrast in the texture. The moon and sun are slightly different, not enough that anyone can notice, and the shine in the ice a bit less stupid looking. http://imgur.com/a/xPvoh

Yeah, I know the grass texture is at top-left and that it's in grayscale, I just wasn't quite sure how to edit it. Since there's no pure grass tiles in LL, and being that I'm not an artist, I'll either need some help with that or someone else will have to do that. The only thing I can come up with is making the whole top just one color, and that looks bad.

Also, I'll fix the birch like Ninny posted above.

Last thing, I see a "Last Legacy" folder and a "Faithful" folder in Dropbox. Should I put the next version of my terrain.png in the Last Legacy folder? The last thing I submitted was to the Suggestions folder.

EDIT: Made stone, cobblestone, and mossy cobblestone texture. I'll provide an in-game screenshot if you guys want.

I also tried making a trapdoor out of the Large Wooden Window, but it was too ugly, so I scrapped it.

Try putting it in suggestions as terrain2.png or something. I can revert to older versions that way, in case there is something wrong.
