I wish we could, because I'd love to, but I think that as pessimistic as this is going to sound, as most of us have been going into later high school years, university, and/or work, we've had a lot less free time on our hands (I'm writing this as at almost 10pm as I knowingly put off what's probably going to end up being an additional two or three hours of homework, for instance). In addition to the issue of time, we've tried to revive MC several times here in the past year or two, and it has been kind of invariably been dying out within a month or two of starting a new map, so I think that's probably a signal that a lot of us have simply lost interest in the game, and a lot of people are moving on to other games in the little free time they have. The new updates are cool, but it's still MC, and it seems like it's just getting a little old. To be honest, I mostly play the game because it's fun to hang out with you guys on the server, which can be accomplished just as easily using the forum chat. :p
If someone wants to take the initiative to start working on a new map (nin's 10/10 worldbuilding skills might come in handy if he has time/motivation), we might be able to get something going. But honestly it's hard to be able to expect much, and I personally don't feel very excited about putting a ton of effort into something that I know I'm going to end up hardly being able to experience for myself.
...Sorry, I don't mean to crush your spirits or anything, but I think I have a tendency to accidentally do that sometimes. Can someone else with a less depressing/cynical take on it maybe answer the question? 3:
EDIT: jk I lied there was apparently just a pretty decently long and apparently enthusiastic discussion between like 3 or 4 people on chat about MC and new stuff that's happening in updates, so I guess hop on and we can discuss
