Oh yes, anyone who didn't hear, we're playing vanilla 1.6 with the new naturalRegeneration handfuls set to false. In other words, golden apples or die!
(or health potions like I nearly got until being fireballed by ghasts)

Minecraft hasn't worked on my computer at all, I tried the demo, but after loading it gave me a black screen! Does anyone know why this is happening?

Make sure you have three latest version of Java.

I do, but that just made things worse, now it says I don't even have java!

Run a java update and maybe update your system too, it fixed for me once.

if you modded, rwmove the mods. see if that fixes. some incompatibility does that.
