The two error messages I frequently get while playing multplayer. Ven gave me as solution that might've worked, but my dad was too paranoid about it. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

It seems to be something on your end, and not much to do with whatever server you're trying to connect to. I suggest getting a better router/modem, more bandwidth, or something like that, mainly because it seemed to help once my parents upgraded our modem and router, it happened a lot less often (it still does when our bandwidth is eaten up by all my family). The problem with this solution is that it could cost you a lot of money. Hell, my family decided that since we don't watch TV much at all that we would stop using cable so we could upgrade. That's all I can suggest for now, since I'm not all that big of an expert on connection issues.

I can't find anything on the Internet that helps and it's getting more frequent and annoying. If you have ANY ideas to help, please tell me them.

i have an idea. a cause anyway. seems liek it wouldn't help but.
whenever i press `/~ in multiplayer when not chatting i get a connection reset.
so stay away from that button.

This doesn't have anything to do with him pressing buttons from what I've heard. In fact, as I have said earlier, it seems to be more of a wireless issue more than a client issue.

I appreciate the idea Koolkid but I'm certai that's not the prob. It's possible there's a file or something I need to delete in order to fix the prob (or at least calm it), since when I did that with a certain file before the larger error message stopped appearing...

When does this error occur? While you're trying to connect to the server, or while playing on a server?

Whenever I connect to a server, I'm disconnected and greeted by this message every 1 to 5 minutes. Usually it's every 5 minutes but it varies...

From what I can tell, either your interwebz really hates Minecraft, it has huge lag spikes, or your computer itself can't stay connected to a server for very long. That's all I can really think of.

It's not always been like this. In fact, we found our Internet wasn't working before, due to a wire that had fallen out. Ever since it was plugged back in, I've gotten this problem.
