Just uncheck "always ask before opening this file" and that'll stop appearing. Minecraft isn't a virus at all. Windows does that for everything. (except on windows 8 woooo)

It was more of a pain when my laptop was running off of Windows Vista *shudder*. And I don't really like Norton all that much either, but whatevs.

It's working fine now except for laughable amounts of lag. I'll leave this unlocked just in case.

If you want to have a computer with trojans, worms, and adware from an expired Norton subscription that will not go away until you renew the subscription, thus lagging your PC and bogging it down with bugs, be my guest. Though I've had experience with it, and I know a lot more about the bad effects of Norton than you do.

And Norton compared to the vast majority of other freeware antivirus softwares is a bad option when protecting your PC, because it says it cleans, but blocks tons of ♥♥♥♥ that it shouldn't. Something like Malwarebytes or Avast is a better free choice, and will protect your PC a lot better than Norton ever will.

I've also talked to professionals and experienced viruses before, even deleting them manually by hand, so I know how well Norton does its job compared to other antivirus softwares...it performs horribly.

Paying for a piece of crap, in other words.

Convincing to me, but probably not my dad.

Ask him if he will pay for a antivirus, or use a free one that would do double what Norton does.

I realised the problem is a Connection Reset error, where my connection keeps dis- and re-connecting for some odd reason.

This is very confusing. Help wanted.

Just Click Run. I had the same window and it worked fine. If this didn't help, I'm sorry.

The problem has been resolved already. He didn't post saying so, but it's safe to assume that problem posts like these are resolved if there hasn't been a post in half a year.

Locked.
