So I was going to play Minecraft when it said 'Cannot open, it may have been moved, renamed or deleted'. This didn't happen before. When I tried to re-download it, I now get this:

This is very confusing. Help wanted.

You're both idiots.
My problem is that it now says 'Unknown Publisher' and all my stuff Minecraft-Wise has gone, like my multiplayer servers and worlds. I want to know why. It should say 'Markus Persson' where it says 'Unknown Publisher'.

That's your computer's fault, not a bug of Minecraft's. Sorry.

OK, I was just checking to see whether it was a danger or not.

Actually, I think it should say "Mojang," but I think I understand what's going on. Something like this happened to me when I first downloaded Minecraft on my old laptop. The signature was invalid, and the Minecraft news would not load and would display an error in Java code instead. It turned out (for me at least) that Java and Norton were "fighting," because Java was not up-to-date, and Norton was having problems recongnizing it. After I updated both, I never had the problem with the game ever again. Hopefully this will be of use for you.

Just run it, and it should be fine.
Norton is a bad choice for antivirus, by the way. A very bad choice.

First of all, this isn't my personal computer, so I don't make the choices.
Second, my dad is very paranoid, especially when I make a suggestion, so Norton is there to stay.
And finally, why is it a bad choice?

Don't listen to him. People can use whatever antivirus they want.
Just uncheck "always ask before opening this file" and that'll stop appearing. Minecraft isn't a virus at all. Windows does that for everything. (except on windows 8 woooo)
