Tekkit

If you haven't heard of tekkit,you obviously are one of the below:
1.are un-technicalized
2.hate technical minecraft
3.never install mods
4.basic minecraft based
Well,i only play classic,but,thoughts,ideas and screenshots for all 3
(I didn't find. Tekkit thread, but minecraft needs tekkit, or at least a major modpack like FTB)
My ideas

1.The Ore Processor: show

A simple machine.consists of several cells, an input line, and an exit line
INPUT LINE
This is where the ores & gems come from the quarries.
EXIT LINE
This is wherethe finished ores andrefined blocks come into when they're done. Its usuallyput into storage
CELLS
yhese are where the ores are actually processed. Thereare several types of cells.
Uranium cells:these have a compressor hooked up to an automatic crafting table which creates uranium cells with empty cells. If a nuclea reactor is set up,the cellswillbe sentto the reactor refill chest
Ore cells:these cells will usually take one type of ore,macerate it in a single macerator,pump the dust into an E. Furnace, from which the ingots will be pumped into an automatic crafting table which turns them into their block form
Diamond cells:curently undesigned
Coal cells:coal is split equally,half into a macerator,half into a autocrafttable which turns them into torches.these are pumped back into the exit line
FITTING
Cells ar e actually in a different place, connected by transport tubes, powe is supplied thru the transport method

The Portable Quarry!: show

So,machine 2. You were NOT expecting this were you?
Well,the portable quarry consists of 2 connected blocks, a 14x14 section, and a 8x8 section.
The smaller section is knon as the drive section
Its 2 stories. The lower floor contains EU and Blutricity storage,along with chests. This flooor also contains 4 frame moters required for moving east,west,north & south. The next floor up contains a living space and a simple ore processor and packeger. Also contains ore dumping, ore unloading and recharging controls. On the roof is an emergency forcefeild grnerator and 6 MV solar arrays for powering it´s Mfsu power battery. The larger section has a large 11x11 hole,for the quarry to dig in, and a fenced in walkway. The forward half is unfenced so that RP solar panels can charge the moters battery box.
The Quarryboat also has a forwardward quarry used for digging through mountains and trees. This immediatly incinerates obtaineditems,so it is not reccomended for actual quarrying. The QuarryBoat can hook up to a seperate factory which recharges its MFSU's and empties its storagefor processing and storage

Please stop talking out of your ♥♥♥, Tekkit is a horrible mod pack for the fact the mods were compiled and redistributed without the authors' permission - and what do you mean FTB is magic-based? There are all sorts of mod packs within for different purposes

FTB can be nearly identical to Tekkit, or it can be magic based. As of now the only thing I care about in Tekkit is Galacticraft, but if the config files for the FTB Ultimate pack are any clue we're getting it too

Nooo, you misunderstand me. I loved Tekkit back when it was the only modpack, but the fact that it was done without permission of the modmakers (and more importantly, the fact that it froze every 15 minutes or so) left a lot of people hoping for something better. Cue FTB, which does what FTB tried only correctly- seeking permission from every single one of the developers, with better mods, and keeping it up to date.

It's no surprise Tekkit has a bit of a small following compared to FTB, for a very long time there was only one clear winner.

Even now with Tekkit suddenly jumping back into the game, it has to deal with a rather annoyed population of mod-lovers who were betrayed by it the first time around. Yeah, it's got cool mods that FTB doesn't (although to be honest Galacticraft is the only one I'm really hyped about) but I am not about to switch when Tekkit has a history of giving up on itself. Until it can prove itself as a serious long-term competitor, there is no competition. FTB is a clear winner for me, and also (I would assume) for a large portion of our userbase here on the forums.

Still, I'm not going to berate you for preferring Tekkit. Bottom line is, it's personal opinion. As long as you enjoy it, I wish you the best. :p

The difference between FTB and Tekkit is that the modders are actually personally involved in the FTB community - Direwolf20, ForgeCraft, etc.
