If GoR is basically dead, and ven is still willing to pay (not saying you have to), we could set it up somehow on there since nobody seems to be able to localhost anything easily.

This is entirely possible as long as I have a few hour's notice, the map is spectacular and I don't want all that effort to go to waste. Really want a copy for myself at least.

One last try, anyone willing to do this? I doubt we're gonna be able to get as many people as I want but we can have a 10 person UHC at the very least.

I'm up for it depending on the time. A perfect time for me would be weekdays at about noon central, maybe an hour or so later. On Fridays though that may not work for me, sometimes personal stuff happens around 2 PM so unless I died early then Friday would be kinda risky. But otherwise, the only guarantees I can make is Monday-Thursday around noon-3 PM central (assuming matches last about 2 hours).

I would love this but weekends (friday night through sunday night) are like the absolute worst time for me to do much online-related. And thursday nights.

Uhh. To be blunt that kind of goes against the foundational rules of UHC. There'll be no natural regen, hard gamemode, deathbans (or maybe we can rig something up to put people in spectator mode upon death), firespread on (build your house out of stone....), mob grief on (Yes, that means creepers are dangerous again!), and no excuses. UHC matches aren't intended to last long. If you die, even by lag, you'll just have to get over it. It's only a game. Sorry, that sounds a lot worse than it is, but it's really the only way to play fair UHC.


Anyway, keep signing up, and post when you're available within a week or two so that we can find the best time for everyone. The more the merrier.


edit: Also Raz, do you plan on making this snapshot or 1.7? edit²: Nevermind 1.8 would be so much more convenient for everything, I don't really see how we could not use it

Who would want to build a house during UHC? It's not like you're gonna live there, the point is to kill everyone. Unless you build a fortress at 0,0 and tell people to come (a la Team Uppercat).

Also, is anyone else besides me recording? I'm going to be recording the match and commentating (or rather attempting to commentate) through it, so I'm wondering if I'm going to be the only one.

Also eternal day doesn't go against the foundational rules of UHC, it's just a way to make it shorter and make it so people aren't spending all night caving and delaying the inevitable.
