That being said, it appears to be legit. Personally I'm super hyped, maybe with Microsoft in charge of things, Minecraft will get the things it needs over neat but ultimately lower-priority features.

A lot of people have been pissed off about this, but it was a deal. Mojang has turned down more money than anyone could possibly use in a lifetime before. If they weren't comfortable with whatever Microsoft had planned for the game, why would they accept? Some of the staff have talked about quitting if it changes, and honestly, good riddance if they're prepared to drop something they enjoy enough to make a career out of just because the big boss changes. That's ♥♥♥♥ stupid, and a quitter's attitude. Based on everything I've read, this is a great move for Mojang and Minecraft, and I hope it's going to continue to be a good thing in the future. Oh, and I totally called this~

Honestly I've basically given up on Minecraft aside from anything the Rob and Nisovin duo does and the minecraft server for runouw.
I still believe that not much will happen to minecraft on PC, but on Xbox, a lot more will be able to happen. Basically, being the fanboy I am, I'll just follow wherever Nis and Rob go, whether a huge update comes that ruins Minecraft or a huge update comes that makes Minecraft amazingly better.

I'm okay with Microsoft buying out Mojang. Notch said he was leaving because of his own sanity and that he never meant for the game to get as big as it did. Most people just seem to be pissed at this for little reason.

Even though I don't follow Minecraft like I did way back when, I think they'll be fine, as long as they will decide what to do without Microsoft's restrictions. I mean, it's a good thing, since their primary platform is PC and I imagine they'll be able to maybe optimise the game more? Maybe.

I am rather chill. Not going to join the ♥♥♥♥ Circlejerk that is happening, because as someone who has worked at becoming involved in sever investment, and a player of both parties, I would like to see how this is bad.

Wow, if that's how he really felt, and got ♥♥♥♥ for making a remark then I fully understand his decision. He's doing something for the people, but when they are jumping to conclusions I'd forget about them as well.

He was getting a lot of threats, some death, for the game. Sometimes he was blamed for Bukkit and the EULA. By him selling, he is saying "stop charging me" to the players who pray to him every Minecraft night. Lets hope he actually is left alone this time.
